We visited the the Choco Museo in Barranco without having planned to go but the girl outside was so friendly we decided to give it a go. She gave a the tour in English (which was free) and really knew what she was talking about. It's a small place so doesn't take long to go round but you get to try products along the way like cacao tea and cacao pisco. They sell everything they make and at really good prices which makes it a great place to buy gifts for people. I'd definitely recommend a visit if you're in Barranco/Miraflores.

4 friends and I did the chocolate making tour. Was very impressed not only with how Yassmina explained things to our group of adults, but also her kind manner with the three children who were also doing the class. We learnt about the history of chocolate in Peru and got the chance to make our own chocolates with various different fillings including marshmallows and oreo cookies. Special thanks to Alexandra for allowing us to taste all the different jams and spreads and liqours, we have already finished the jar of chocolate and brazil nut spread and it has only been 3 days since we purchased it!

Wonderfully nice stuff of college students. Definitely take the class for 70 soles, it's worth it. Just the flavor from the roasted chocolate is enough to make you crazy..:)

I took my kids here and it was very informative. We all got to sample chocolate tea and chocolate jam. It was small but nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

When visiting Cusco try the "make your own chocolat classes" with "teacher/chef" Manoel . You will have a pleasant, funny and cultural afternoon.
