I stayed at the new Hilton Miraflores in Lima, I was walking around the neighbourhood and noticed some good looking mural, went along to take a picture and discovered that it is indeed a restaurant, it occupies part of an old colonial house on the ground floor. The big chalk board outside is the Menu del dia, menu of the day. It has two choices, one is 10 new sol, one is 12 new sol, now that is very very economical in this district. In Hilton, breakfast cost 62 new sol, 1US$ is around 2.8 new sol, so you see. The menu include an appetizer and a main course, each course has 3 choices and it comes with a juice as well. The staff does not speak English, but even with a little Spanish you shoudl be able to get by. Up the stairs is the courtyard with more mural and there is 4 small tables which altogether seat 10. Then there is the inside seating. I had chicken filet with rice and corn and bean sauce, the first course was brocoli and bean salad, My spanish is not good enough to find out what kind of juice it is. All in all is a gem hide in a place full of posh restaurant, where a burger could cost US$14 + tax + service. Downside is this place only open until 3:30 pm. So it only do lunch. They also deliver. Only if your Spanish is good enough to order on the phone I guess.
