I stayed here for three weeks for a secondment.
Overall the hotel is starting to show it's age. It has a authentic feel to it (older wall coverings, baroque lounge) that are a nice change from the more sterile newer hotels.
Some staff (restaurant, older Senor at the desk at night) were great, others were indifferent.
The hotel food is nothing flash; and not that cheap, but there really isn't anywhere too close to the hotel. Peruvian food is so good it has a lot to live up to but seems very older style.
If you fancy a 15 minute walk head down to the coast; either to Larco Mar or one of the many good restaurants on the way.
