As part of the Turibus excursion it stopped in Barranco and we had a short tour and history of the area. Its a very hip area with lots of windy streets, shops, and a local brewery. Our guide said its the place to go at night, maybe next trip.

People watching and photography are great in Barranco. The cliffside walking is enjoyable and relaxing. I felt safe and comfortable and there was lots to see.

I like barrancas; it's much less crowded than most other areas of the city and still retains some of the bohemian, artsy spirit. Nice Spanish colonial buildings.
