Downtown Lima is not a good location for the tourist -- fine during the day, but not after dark and there is nothing of interest near the hotel anyway.
The San Agustin Riviera was probably a great hotel in the 50's but does not look like it has been updated since. We were with a group and none of us had AC that worked. Some rooms had no water (meaning no toilets, etc.). One elevator stuck with a group of us in it. For all these problems, the rooms were large and clean and the desk personnel were very friendly and helpful within their means to help. We would not stay here again though.More
