a wonderful piece of Spanish American art. it was built with the same architecture plan in a lower scale as the Cathedral of Seville in Spain. Inside the must seen are: Pizarro's tomb, the amazing mahogany choir seats, the painted ceiling and the choir books on the 2nd floor.

This is a classic example of the 16th-17th century cathedrals built by the Spanish in colonial times. The chapels are amazing, the artifacts collected incredible and don't miss the crypts and the Archbishop burial under the altar.

Well worth a visit. Lovely Cathedral in the main square in Lima right next to the Palace. Several places to visit inside including the section reserved for Francisco Pizzaro, the Spanish conqueror of Peru.

The cathedral dominates the south corner of the Plaza de Armas. The baroque façade is beautifully lit at night. Make sure you get here early it is closed a lot and many city tours leave this until last. On Saturday it is only open 10-1pm. Together with the other buildings overlooking the square, this is the heart of Lima's world heritage listed area.

Both from outside and from inside although you need to pay an entrance fee. The Plaza where this Cathedral is located is full of life and you can spend hours over here.
