I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff (reception, doormen, bar/breakfast area etc) were all very friendly and helpful. All spoke some, if not fluent English and were so tolerant of my elementary Spanish. They happily phoned LAN on my behalf due to a check-in problem and offered helpful advice. 24hour reception. Our apartment (#204) had a cosy lounge/kitchenette area of 2x2seater sofas, bar fridge, kettle/jug, microwave, 2 burner cooktop, sink & crockery etc, bathtub/shower, big mirror and good bench space, double power outlets, hairdryer is provided, queen bed (if requested in booking) and cute secluded open air balcony & umbrella. We found this room to be very quiet. The street does not seem to have much or traffic. This small apart/ hotel is clean, comfortable and well located and it felt like our home away from home. It is not 5 star but for USD125 per night I thought it was great value for money and would stay here again. It had a small, personal feel about it and the staff knew our room number without us having to ask for the key.

Vivanda is a huge supermarket 2 blocks away and is open 24hours. There is another supermarket just around the corner. There are cafes and restaurants nearby and only a few blocks to Parque Kennedy and ATMs etc. It was a leisurely 10min walk to the Indian & Inka Markets selling all the usual souvenirs, plus heaps of other shops and smaller market places on the way. 15minute stroll to Larcomar and the Malecon. We felt very safe during the day and walking from Larcomar at night.

A girlfriend and I stayed at La Paz Apart Hotel for 2 weeks while we studied Spanish at a local language school a few blocks away. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor facing the back of the building, which was extremely quiet. The apartment was spacious and very clean. We didn’t end up doing much cooking but appreciated having the kitchen with its full size refrigerator and microwave. The location is very convenient, as others have noted. We walked everywhere in Miraflores and felt very safe, day and night.
I have fond memories of my stay, more than anything else, because of the staff. They were excellent, always so helpful and friendly, patient with my halting Spanish, and able to communicate in English, when need be.

Room Tip: Rooms on upper floors at the back of the hotel are quieter.

This hotel is clean, convenient and we had very good service. The people are helpful and very friendly. Housekeeping was just right and made sure we had a clean room to return from our excursions. Not a 5 star hotel, but for the money, safety, proximity to Miraflores and all, this was a good hotel. We stayed for 7 nights and not once were we uncomfortable. The grocery store is less then a two block walk and they sell EVERYTHING you need. The Artesian Market is about a four block walk and there is ALWAYS fun and excitement in the air. Bring your outlet converters and iphone chargers, yet they were awesome in charging mine behind the front desk! Always felt safe and service was quick. Thanks La Paz, I will be returning in two years!

Room Tip: We stayed in the 3rd Floor and found that to be a quiet area.

I spent many days at this hotel during business trips. It is centrally located in Miraflores, with attractions at a walking distance. All rooms have a two-plate electrical oven, small fridge, etc. After a couple of days of eating at restaurants this is very nice. Breakfast is light, but better than the traditional 'continental' of most hotels in south america.

Service was good and agreeable, there is a small selection of books (english, deutsch) to borrow.

Room Tip: Try to get a room looking to the back, but not in the second floor, as it is above the parking (and...

This is a very sweet little hotel in a very convenient location for anyone alone and on foot. It's a 10 minute walk to the beach. The suites are clean and spacious, and enable you to buy food at the excellent supermarket round the corner and heat and eat it back in your room. The staff are extremely helpful and the wifi is speedy. The breakfast was a delicious start to the day. It's very good value, if not the cheapest it's worth spending a little extra.

Room Tip: If you don't need the extra space they do have smaller cheaper rooms which don't seem to be...

The hotel is not really bad, but never count on the taxi service at this hotel, especially if you're in a hurry. I asked for a taxi, to go to the airport and it took almost 30 minutes to come. Because this i lose my flight. The hotel must change the taxi service to avoid this type of occurrence that break dow any trip. Like everything in this country, nothing works right

We'd been travelling a while (8 months) and decided to treat ourselves to some fancy accommodation in Lima. There was nothing really wrong with the apartment we got but we felt a little underwhelmed after paying USD115 a night for a 5 night stay. The apartment we got was right above the little bar/kitchen area downstairs and we think they must have had some sort of contract over the weekend because there was noise throughout two of the nights that we were there. Nothing terrible but it still disturbed our sleep. It was also sited directly above the garage entrance to the hotel so you feel like you're staying next to a car park - well, you are actually.
The kitchen is seriously under-equipped - 3 pans, two small plates etc - it's not really been kitted out properly so it's a test of your patience to actually cook in it. The supplied breakfast is good though.
Fundamentally, the place is OK, we just didn't feel that it was very good value.
