“Super convenient for short layover”
Reviewed 31 December 2011

If you're arriving late into Lima and leaving the next morning, this is your only option. While the hotel is pricey compared to other Lima hotels, you can't beat the convenience--right across the street from the airport baggage claim. (vs. the 45 min - 1 hour and added expense it takes to get to Miraflores from the airport.) Our family of 5 stayed in 2 rooms (the website only allows you to book 2 people per room, but the rooms have 2 double beds). The rooms are a little dated (the air conditioning did not work the night we were there), but the breakfast buffet is great (fruit, omelets made to order, etc.). Check in for your morning flight first, then return to the hotel to enjoy the breakfast.

hotel is overpriced and nothing spectacular, but you litetrally walk out the door and are in the airport.
advice: ask for a room facing on the other side from the airport - lots of international flights arrive late into the evening and hundreds of people show up to the airport to meet their arriving relatives and it becomes a mayhem of noise and traffic police blowing their whistles etc..
we had thought about getting a hotel downtown lima, but strongly advise that ius not a good idea if you have an early flight. they want you to arrive 3 hours early for a international flight! and traffic is ridiculous in lima.
so stay here at the ramada - try and book at least 3 weeks in advance to get their best rate. think we paid about $220. breakfast is included and is pretty good.

We stayed here twice in 2 weeks, having to have overnights in Lima, and for convenience, it can not be beaten. Right at the airport, no hassles finding taxis - just walk in. We were made most welcome, even when we came in well after midnight. Leaving early is no problem either - plane leaving at 7.30, so check in at 5 am meant we could just walk across the airbridge to the airport, check in, and go back for breakfast. Staff were very helpful and polite, dinner and breakfast were excellent, the room comfortable and quiet - no noise from the hotel or the airport. Welcome pisco sour was very welcome! Very safe and convenient - ideal for tranist.

I had a late arrival and early departure the following morning. The location of the Costa del Sol is amazing with respect to the airport - literally across the street. The hotel is very modern. Everything looks clean and new. Checkin was speedy and guests receive a complimentary beverage in the lounge upon checkin.

I retrieved my voucher for sparkling water to have with my late dinner in the lounge (delicious French onion soup!). Having just arrived in South America, I needed to check in with my family. Unfortunately, my calling card couldn't be used with the hotel's phone system. Hotel staff opened my phone line so I could call Canada. (Thankfully, they let me know before I called that the charges would be $4/minute.)

I had a very comfortable sleep (no noise from the airport!). I woke at 4 a.m. for my flight. The complimentary breakfast buffet was good - fresh fruit, eggs, breads, coffee, tea. Checkout was swift and I was back at the airport within minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

Our travel agent arranged this hotel for us. It doesn’t get better if you’re in lima for an overnight layover because the hotel is about 50 feet from the airport entrance. The hotel itself is very well kept, has a good breakfast (with omelet bar), and the rooms are spacious, quiet, and clean – all of these probably contribute to their 4 star rating. They also give you 2 drinks or bottles of water included in the price of your room. Wifi is included. We stayed here twice during our trip to peru, and it definitely made the trip much more convenient. I would absolutely recommend this place to a friend passing though peru on their way to cuzco if they can get a good price-the full price room rates seemed steep – about US$320 for a double.

Customer service was poor. Given the price you'd at least expect a smile... We turned up with backpacks so initally they probably thought we weren't worthy of staying there.

The restaurant experience was lovely- good attention to detail and nice service.

They charged us the cost of a phone call which was to there other hotel to make us a booking.

Gym was unsafe- machines kept cutting out mid run if they were working. No one had cleaned up from the previous day we had gone in.

The convenience of being right across the gate from international arrivals makes this the most convenient hotel to overnight in Lima for a flight the next morning. Clean and modest rooms. The WiFi worked well and the breakfast was average for Peru. The complimentary welcome Pisco Sour was a great touch. You may save a little bit by staying at other places in Lima, but will waste lot of time in transfers from the airport. We had a good night's sleep after a long flight.
