“too bad you can't go further”
Reviewed 23 February 2014

this is the easier of the hiking trails at the Macchu Picchu site, only took me about 40 minutes return. Really good views of the rivers down in the valley below. It ends just before the old wooden bridge crossing. Look for the Surveyor pin just before the trail ends.

“Worth crossing for the trek the other side”
Reviewed 19 January 2014

The bridge is a little bit unimpressive after the fort and the granaries at Ollantaytambo, BUT it takes you across the river to the start of a fabulous and not too strenuous walk above the valley and the town. Hardly any people to get in your way and some truly magnificent views. A great escape especially in high season when Ollanta can get a bit busy

“A quick walk & worth it!”
Reviewed 16 January 2014

I've been to Machu Picchu 8 times and my last visit was the first time I made the effort to go to the Inca Bridge. It is about a 15-20 walk from the check in gate and when you get to the bridge, you will be viewing the backside of Machu Picchu Mountain. Great to get another perspective of this glorious mountain. We took our best pictures here! Truly gorgeous views and a very easy, fairly flat walk. Definitely worth it!

“Fantastic walk!”
Reviewed 6 January 2014

You need to registered if you want to walk to the Inca Bridge at Machu Piccu that takes < an hour and the Inca Bridge is closed for safety. It's only 1.5 m wide walkway but the view from the top is great.

“Inca Bridge”
Reviewed 17 December 2013

Only the brave need apply - if Machu Picchu wasn't steep enough try climbing to the Inca Bridge. The Incas sure do know how to climb!
