The tables outside are perfect to just chill with endless refills of Cerveza Cusqueña or jugos and watch the plaza and the sky and the mountains. The food is good but I think the best part of this restaurant is its location. We were there during the Señor de Chuquiquilca festivities and enjoyed watching the parade from the restaurant.

The majority of the eateries surrounding the plaza do not cook the bulk of the menu themselves; rather, it is cooked for them in a very close by establishment, on the second floor of the local market ( which is on the same road as this restaurant, heading away from the plaza out of town, on the left).

The pizzas and perhaps some other smaller things are likely cooked on site, but the bulk of the menu- nearly identical to the adjacent other restaurants- are all cooked for them. Of course, this is not shocking, as the menus are quite extensive, and being a small town it would be extremely expensive to stock on hand all that would be needed to service the entire menu any day of the week. That being said, don't stress over this menu or that one, they are nearly identical anyhow; pick the spot you want to sit and go for it!

I got the Alpaca, as did my gf ( though prepared a different way ) and it was served hot, and was pretty good. It was a tad tough, but it was a flank steak, so that's acceptable.

A variety of non intrusive cats tried to dine with us, which added a few laughs.

Situated right on the Plaza, Quinua will do a great pizza on the spot. Veggie option is good, Medio size is good value. Decent price for beers and the owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Free wifi, great for travellers!

Have eaten here twice, had the pizza and the trout, both were very good. If you sit outside you have wonderful mountain views. Also great for people watching. Right in the square

This is a very cute restaurant in Ollantaytambo led by three incredibly young but talented boys who cook absolutely amazing food. They have a great sense of humour and were very kind to us. We had a great evening there, enjoying our guinea pig (that we had ordered the previous day), lovely soups (they are on of the best I've had!) and stone oven pizzas. I can only recommend this place. It's not fancy, but it's gorgeous food and a lovely atmosphere. Go!!!
