I stayed at Chaska Pisaq for just over two weeks and absolutely loved it! The owners, Christina and her husband were very sweet, and the hostel itself is beautiful! There is a nice common kitchen that is clean, and has a fridge. The garden area, with gazebo is a beautiful place to soak up the Pisaq sun, and there is even a meditation room!

I stayed in this hostel for a week and it was an incredible experience. First off, the staff is friendly and attentive, especially the owner, Cristina. She always made sure that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. Second, cleanliness, from the communal kitchen to the communal bathroom, there was never a time where I felt the hostel could be in better shape. Finally, Pisac is somewhat bustling, but overall a small, relaxed town. Chaska is a fantastic place if you're aiming for pure tranquility. Whether it's relaxing on the sunlight grass area or meditating in the beautiful meditation room, there is always a way to achieve some type of personal peace in this calm abode.

I stayed here for 10 days in the backpackers' dorm (3 beds) and was on a budget (I'm a student traveling around); it was great to only have to pay 30 soles (About $10 U.S.A) per night. The staff here is very accommodating when you need something and are all-around very friendly. There is a kitchen and two full bathrooms for the backpackers to use. There was always hot water and internet service was available. The little "cafe" that is in Chaska has some very delicious treats; I usually got a freshly baked bagel every morning (S/. 2.50 per bagel) and some eggs from the shop next door (S/. 0.40 per egg) and just made myself breakfast sandwiches in the kitchen.
Sleeping here was no problem at all, actually some of the best sleep for me was at Chaska Wasi since being on my travels. I met several people that stayed for a night or two in the backpacker dorm with me which was always a fun experience.

Overall:
The service- Very accommodating and friendly. Cristina (the owner) and the staff speak both Spanish and English very well.

Value- Amazing value (especially for me, a student on a budget)

Sleep Quality- First 5 nights, slept like a baby. Next 5 nights, slept like a rock.

Cleanliness- Chaska Wasi was always clean and never felt like anything was out of place. In the kitchen, if you use it, its common courtesy to clean up after yourself. If you can do that, everyone is happy.

Location- Its the 3rd or 4th doorway to the left of the bridge when entering Pisaq. Its about a 5-7min walk to the artisan market and there are food shops and a fresh market about 6 minutes away from it.

Rooms- The backpacking dorm was comfortable and had ample space for everyone who stayed in it. I also saw some of the "hotel" rooms which are the doubles and they are very nice for couples or solo travelers if you aren't feeling like sharing space. My friends (a couple) stayed in the double and had good things to say about the room.

I had a very relaxing time here and would definitely recommend it to anybody just traveling around. Its a great deal.

Note on weather: I stayed here in May 2014, which means Peru is going into winter. During the days the weather was beautiful. Sunshine and mid 60's Fahrenheit. At night, it got chilly, probably around 40's Fahrenheit. Just be aware what the weather is when you travel.

Armando & Cristina welcomed us as if they knew us from a long time ago. We had a great & peaceful time here. Our room was cozy, super clean & comfortable. All the rooms are laid out around a lovely garden/patio where people hang out and share their magical experiences in the sacred valley of Peru. If you are coming to Pisaq, this is THE place to stay at.

You are in good care here in this home away from home, either for a short stopover or an extended stay. The rooms are clean & sizable with hot water and bathtubs. Beds are comfy and ample bedding/blankets provided. The structure frames a beautifully groomed courtyard that invites you to sit in the gazebo and chill under the view of the mountains or visit with fellow travelers. A kitchen is available for food prep, and there's also a full service café off the lobby that serves up the best fresh bagels this side of Brooklyn! The rates are a great value too, but probably the most important aspect of Chaska is the genuine warmth, friendliness and good energy that resonates there. Almost a destination itself, book with confidence.

This is a small hotel on the main street in Pisac, run by a family from Barcelona. The rooms were cozy but adequate, beds comfortable, the showers hot, and the hosts very friendly. There is no heat or air conditioning so room was cold at night, but there were enough heavy blankets to sleep under to be comfortable. There is a restaurant in the lobby run by a guy from Madrid where you can get a bagel breakfast every morning. He makes the bagels fresh daily and they were great. Prices for the hotel and for breakfast (not included with room) were reasonable. Would definitely stay there again.
