We spent two nights in this upscale hotel during our voyage through the Sacred Valley. So let us start with few facts: there are no TV sets in the room. Probably lack of TV signal as on demand they can supply you with TV+DVD set and some "Oscar hits movies". There is also no gym but they have great heated swimming pool (infinite view - 2m at the deepest). Service is very good. As we were leaving before opening the Restaurant for the breakfast, they did start working 20m earlier to feed us. Food (we had also dinners) was really good.

What we also Iiked was exact access to the Urubamba River, great Garden with Hummingbirds flying and Lamas in your view. Generally, very good hotel. Recommended.

Wish we could have stayed here for a longer period of time, but the 2 days we spent here were magical. During the day, we toured the Sacred Valley. At night, we wandered the grounds of the hotel, enjoyed our wonderful balcony and gazed at the stars in the Southern Sky. This small hotel blends into the landscape and is very organic and feels like a spa. It is a very calming place, and the rooms are spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The service is excellent and the staff makes each guest feel very special. My only complaint is that the resort is built on a very steep hill and after walking all day visiting ruins, we were dreading the walk down to dinner and back up the hill to our room. Other than that, this place was perfect. We stayed here prior to June 2013 on our trip to Peru.

The grounds are gorgeous and being on the river wonderful. But the prices for everything don't take into account that you are in Peru, where things cost less. Also there is a 10% service charge on the entire bill, yet you are still expected to tip.

The pool was not heated and the spa is in the reception room on the Spa, not at all private and the spa on the deck has leaves in its bottom. One day the groundskeepers didn't even bother removing the plastic covers from the chaise lounges which are beautifully located out on the grass.

We found the food suited to the mostly stuffy suits who were staying there--the usually delicious Peruvian dishes muted so as to be inoffensive.

The staff were kind and helpful but disorganized. Just as an example, we ordered a bottle of (overpriced) wine; our server came by with a different bottle and explained they were out of the other and would we like to switch. We said yes that would be fine--but instead of leaving it she walked away with the bottle and we didn't see her again until after about ten minutes we asked another server about the wine. We just got the feeling the place was not being managed by an experienced hotel manager.

My wife and I and two other couples stayed here for one night as part of our tour of the Sacred Valley. Our only regrets are that we got there late, left early the next day and were only there one night. The rooms were spacious and very well appointed with gorgeous views of the valley and Andes. Service was excellent and the restaurant and bar were top notch. If you book a stay, arrive early enough in the day to enjoy it. The hotel is managed by Belmond which is renamed from Orient Express. The hotel lives up to the expectations you may anticipate given the Orient Express name.

This resort was excellent! The room was very luxurious, bathroom was very modern, shower with glass, feels like you're outside. Has a balcony with nice views of the river. The breakfast had nice fruits, cereals, pastries and then there's a small menu to order eggs and pancakes from. Very nice... We had dinner here once and it was very tasty, make a reservation as it was quite busy. We used the spa, sauna and jacuzzi are included with your stay, but we had a massage which was fabulous!
