We too ate at Inka's House on our driver's suggestion. Lots of food to choose from with pisco sours to start and anis liquor to end. Food is very tasty and there is plenty to fill anyone's stomach. One of our group did have tummy trouble later... possibly the chicken?? Otherwise we were all happily filled... so much so we didn't need dinner that night!

We went to this Restaurant after our Machu-Picchu Visit.
It ist Close to the Railway Station.
We had a "Pizza-Vegetariana" (which came without tomato sauce)
First the Pizza wasn't baked enough.
He put it back in to the "Wooden Oven" but the oven was not hot enough.
i tried to explain him how to make and bake the pizza - but he wasn`t interested at all.
We try to use the pepper mill but not even 1 of 4 worked!
our plates were dirty and smelled ugly.
at the cashier counter i saw and smelled the awful kitchen!

Our driver took us to this restaurant when we were visiting the Sacred Valley. It was okay, but I wouldn't have chosen it myself (probably not many of the people inside did either). It's very over the top trying to give the "authentic" Andean experience, when really it's just a shiny tourist package of Peru with some very loud live touristy music playing.

That said. The food wasn't bad. Some of the vegetarian stews were delicious. There was quite a bit of variety and you can probably find something you like. The buffet was 42 soles per person forlunch (including the "free" shot of pisco sour) and ordering from the menu is basically more expensive. The service was friendly.

We went to this place during our full day private tour of sacred valley (per David's recommendation). Considering how fast the restaurant service in Peru is (yeah right), its a good place especially if you are in a hurry and you wanted to try variety of Andean dishes. Their buffet menu is awesome. Your lunch meal comes with a free pisco sour.

I did like how they made our fresh chica morada, the alpaca dish was very tender, but the beef heart was a little tough.

At Urubamba, in the road to the Sacred Valley, we found this place, that although in another reviews is ranged very low, I decided to try by myself. First, as it is this restaurant speciality, the buffet contains mainly typical food, in an acceptable variety and amount. Some of the options are unusual, particularly for those who has not been at least some days before in Peru. Not many international dishes are included, so for that, you have to order from the menu and that is another history! It is a place were several tourist groups are taken, so if you reach at the same time might be a problem with the available space. Otherwise, you might feel worried that such a big restaurant seems to be almost empty. It is not a cheap place, the buffet cost is around 16 USD but as in any buffet, you can eat as much as you like. Please note that no credit cards are accepted, so bring your cash (either Soles or US dollars).
