I only wish we had more time to stay in the Sacred Valley at this awesome resort. It was tranquil, gorgeous, and the rooms were very roomy and clean. This is a place I want to come back to and stay for at least a week. It's like a spa retreat! The food at the bar was a little pricey but not too bad. We stayed there the night before heading to Machu Picchu and that was an excellent choice! Highly recommend it!

In general, this hotel was impressive. The decor bright and clean, the staff very friendly and professional. Rooms were well appointed and clean. The bed was very comfortable.
We had dinner in the restaurant and food was really great. Well presented and very tasty. Servers were always in sight watching over us in case we needed anything.
I would have given this place another star, but it was lost due to location.
This hotel is basically a compound. It is heavily gated and protected from the 'eclectic' neighbourhood it is located in.. If Bin Laden was hiding there, he still would have been alive today.
This place is NOWHERE. You are a captive audience and cannot jump outside and look for a restaurant or bar if the hotel's food fare is not to your liking. If this doesnt bother you, then i highly recommend this place.

We spent two nights here on a 9 day trip to Peru. It was actually our second of three Casa Andina properties we stayed in and although it was beautiful, it was our least favorite.
We arrived at night so really had no idea what to expect when driving up the dirt road. The property is impressive upon arrival, and we were really pleased with our rooms and the setting. The staff was mostly very friendly as well. However, our stay was pretty average overall so, I'm not sure I would recommend it to a friend.
A major issue we encountered was communication. Our Spanish is horrible, and their English was not up to the same level we'd experienced on the trip so far, to no fault of anyone but, it made the stay a little more difficult at times for everyone.
We weren't really told much about the property upon check-in; ammenities, spa information, the observatory was never mentioned, excursion options etc. We felt pretty isolated as the property is a drive from Urubumba, Ollytantambo, etc. which seem to be the heart of the Sacred Valley with much more to do. We weren't close to anything so after our day trip to Pisac via a pre-arranged guide, we were on our own in the middle of nowhere. To some, that might sound great but, we didn't come to the Sacred Valley to see this hotel; we came to see the SV.
The food and services were also so-so. If you eat breakfast after 9am, we found the hot food to be cold and many items were gone and not refilled. Every bottle of wine we ordered seemed to be the "last one" and we had to chose something else. No silverware came with our room service order, and it took 45 minutes for someone to first, understand what we needed and then to deliver it. The spa literally has 4 massage appointments a day, and they're all in the late afternoon. Not really convenient for anyone.
If you want total peace and quiet in a beautiful setting with no desire to leave during your time there, then maybe this is your kind of place. It just wasn't for us and think there are better choices in the valley.

Room Tip: I would ask for a room on the second floor; we heard a lot of noise from our upstairs neighbors walk...

This is a first-class hotel hidden with beautifully-landscaped private grounds in a quiet rural location. The rooms are large, bright, clean, nicely-decorated with large windows and a large sitting area. The hotel lobby is very inviting with lots of comfortable sofas and huge windows. The dining room is equally impressive, both in decor and food and service. Very impressive!!

Located 3800m above sea level and offering great views of the Andes from every room, Casa Andina in Urubamba is a great place to stay. The garden was beautifully landscaped. The chalet style rooms were spacious & clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We had a day trip to Maras, Moray and Ollantaytambo from here.

If the guests don't feel right due to high altitude, oxygen is available in the rooms. They had a gift shop, Alpaca shop and also a jewellery shop, but what I admired most was the craft market. Some local ladies in their traditional dress come to the hotel grounds every morning and stay there until late evening selling their hand made crafts. It is interesting to see them making those stuff.

The hotel has a great spa and a massage centre and the massage I got was the best I ever had.

We've done a fair amount of traveling over quite a few years. But when we arrived at this hotel, we both commented that this was one of the prettiest places we'd ever seen. Very unexpected -- you go up a dusty road in a tiny town, and you come upon this absolutely beautiful place. The food was excellent. All amenities were first-rate. A place I would love to go back to.
