This is an incredible hotel, beautiful lobby, rooms, views and a design in concordance with the natural surroundings. But there's one thing that was weird, in such a wonderful hotel they don't have a jacuzzi for men....just a very small one for women (only 3 women, no more) that you can access through the women's dressing rooms. I'm talking about the regular jacuzzi that you can use included in the price, not the spa that you need to ask for an appointment.
That was weird! we asked and they said that they will do one for men in the future....that would be nice!!

Room Tip: Beautiful views to the mountain and river or to the hotel garden with small water falls and relaxing...

Good afternoon,

Thank you for choosing Tambo del Inka; a magnificent ensemble of the Luxury Collection brand!

Really grateful to you for your magnificent comment on our staff, service, rooms, lobby, decor and others.

Definetely, our headquarters down in Lima are considering another Jacuzzi in the Men´s room as well. Be sure, we will pass on this important information too.

Do hope to welcome you back in time.

Locate at the river side of Urubamba, a perfect place for a couple in honeymoon. I and my pair enyoy with the preparations of the chef, services like: the water tour, sauna. Also local quietude, landscapes, people make my experience formidable. This Hotel has train station that it allows continue the travel to Aguas Calientes for arrive a Machu Pichu.

Room Tip: At that place all the rooms have good disposition.

By any means, this hotel is excellent and i believe it can stand for a comparison with any other luxurious hotels across the world. The room is spacious, well equipped and clean. Staff are attentive and show hospitality. It was very pleasant stay.

This hotel is quite contemporary style. You don't feel much about being in Peru. This is OK for me. But if you want a trip to be more exotic, you might be a little disappointed.

one of the best resorts I have stayed at. We spent a week and it was not enough time in paradise. Exceptional service from EVERY single staff - friendly, helpful, genuine. In Cusco we stayed at sister property Palacio del Inka and had asked in advance for adjoining room for our kids, Rodrigo took care of our request and said to ask for him at check in. He made sure of our adjoining request and greeted us every time we walked past. We were also very well taken care of in the restaurant, especially by Rene. He seemed to work every shift, but he was always friendly and attentive. He even asked the chef to make special request for my picky son.

Most people stay one or 2 days to visit MachuPichu, and during the day the resort is quiet and completely dedicated to us. We had our pick of any comfy sofa in the expansive and luxurious lobby, deck, covered lanai etc. Spa was great as is the dining. Buffet breakfast was stocked with vast selection of pastries, breads, eggs, bacon, sausage, soup, even congee and gluten free options. Great way to start the day.

The onsite Perurail station is so convenient to get to MP, it leaves around 9am and returns around 4-5. It's a little short for MP, but we returned on later train to Ollantaytambo, Tambo arranged for car to pick us up at station. A nice little town to also visit as is Urubamba. You can walk across the street for a local experience.

Our family had a great time relaxing and just enjoying the luxury of the resort and being treated well by staff of Tambo.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the river have a nicer view, but there are houses on the side of the mountain that...

well let's see.
LEED certified. So you can rest feeling good that the land was not abused, nor is being abused to exist.
Quite, peaceful, in heart of Urabamba Sacred Valley.
The staff were immaculate. Best staff I've actually encountered hands down in ANY hotel i've ever stayed at.
Rooms were great (only beef was a guy on the cliff side who would blare his radio certain mornings, or a pack of dogs that barked way into the night.. but i get it, we're in rural Urabamba surrounded by locals that were probably here before the hotel. So no problem).
Dining was exceptional. Loved it. They even had 'Congee' (sorta a Chiness pouredge) perfect if your poor tummy is not that well - thank you TDI.
Bar room was great. Outdoor relaxing area was nice (heated lamps were spot on!).
Game room was nice to be able to reconnect to your kids (dont bring your electronics people and have a better vacation!).
Spa was great.
I would only like to have had great pool deck space that was sun exposed for those chilly times that you just want to soak up some sun.
The walk around the hotel grounds is suprisingly a nice relaxing light activity if you have a 1/2hr.
The hotel is on minutes away from a local town of concessions, stores, and restaurants. That was convenient. Can i just recommend bringing your own Pepto Bismol. Their local brand for whatever reason, just did not work for me or my son. In fact, ensure you have your antibiotics at hand. I should have started them on set my my issues, which ended up carrying on and off right up until i made it to the Amazon. And you sorta don't really want issues in the jungle. Pedia lite would have been nice too.
The train station that is only minutes away was a nice treat to go to our MachuPichu trip. A gorgeous train ride through the Andes. Food was a sandwhich, which was perhaps a bit lacking, if you're coming from the hotel.
I highly recommend staying here without a doubt. Would definitely return to this specific hotel if I ever return.
Say hi to Rene to head Maitre'D in the restaurant. He did a wonderful job, ensuring we were well taken care of.

Room Tip: cliff side is definitely nice with the river running only 50' feet from you. Just be mindful tha...

We stayed in this lovely hotel with our teenage daughters and really enjoyed our stay. It has so much to offer and due to our packed schedules we were unable to use the spa but my daughters enjoyed a swim in the indoor/outdoor pool swimming underneath a sky full of stars of the southern hemisphere! Very beautiful location. The concierge was not that helpful as the lady at the desk was on the phone forever and even though I was waiting to be served and then left, she did not care!

The beauty of the hotel architecture, its design and its location speaks for itself. This magnificent hotel is an oasis in a very humble town. What makes the Tambo del Inka experience so memorable and so unique is the professionalism, competency and caring of the entire staff. We were somewhat of a demanding family as three of us contracted a stomach bug. Apart from catering special meals for our sensitive stomachs, the hotel staff ran into town town to pick up a thermometer because they did not have one at the hotel. On the fun side, the Pisco Sour, the famous Peruvian drink, was the best I found in Peru, and the hotel's proximity to Urubamba town enabled us to walk through town and experience the local markets and see the local people going about their daily lives. The wonders of this hotel catered to my wife and me, as well as our three teenage children. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to Tambo del Inka
