Rooms are clean and the neighborhod is quiet. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Although breakfast is advertised until 10 am there was very little left by 9 with many empty trays left on the buffet.

This hotel is in a smallish town and some distance from the center. On the other hand, that could be why we found it to quiet and restful.. It has a rustic flair while also affording the creature comforts for us spoiled Americans. We really enjoyed the breakfast in the dining area that looks out on a very nicely laid out garden and grounds. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water.....something you can't always count on in Peru, from our experience.

Unfortunately this hotel is in Urubamba. There's nothing to do in Urubamba. The hotel has tons of charm and character with lovely big rooms. There was a bit of an ant infestation in the bathroom. There was also a bit of a problem with hot water and the food in the restaurant was average. However, all of this could be overlooked by the fact that the hotel had a lot of charm and character.

The San Agustin hotel is filled with travelers from around the world. We stayed here during our tour with Overseas Adventure Travel. The rooms are clean, breakfast is plentiful, and the staff is very helpful. The gardens are beautiful and the surrounding scenery is spectacular.

I was on the Gate1Travel Machu Picchu Express tour and stayed here overnight. It is a cute little hotel, very clean, nice staff. The breakfast was included in our tour and it was tasty. A few local foods as well as some American foods. We had a room with two twin beds and it was huge! The bathroom was also large and very clean. The room also included a heater, which we didn't end up using because the blankets they provide you with are wonderful! There is a nice pool in the courtyard of the hotel, but since we were there in the Fall, it was too cold for a dip.

I only took off a star because the Wifi didn't reach our room too well and the water in the shower wasn't hot, just warm. Warm enough to shower, but when it's 50 degrees outside I prefer a hot shower.

This hotel is about 1.5 hr from Cusco Airport and about 30 minutes to the train station that takes you to Machu Picchu.
