very interesting place to visit.
selling from veggies to old tools, used clothing, electric parts, antiques, etc.
very slow moving but if you go take your time.
There is something for everyone.

Tristan Narvaja Fair is established every sunday in Montevideo and from the early hours the place is too crowded you have difficulty to move a couple of steps sometimes. Uruguayans like to take the things easy and slow and that place is the peak of it. That is not the only problem with this market. It is built on a very narrow street and there is not much space to move. Plus the items that are sold in the market has low quality and far from the attraction of second hand or collectors' markets. I would rather visit the small street market in Old Town

We have lived in Montevideo for 5 years, and this is one of the best experiences the city has to offer. Antiques of every imaginable sort, a mix of crafts, clothing & shoes, fruit & veg stalls, used books and vinyl LPs, a variety of street food, kitchen ware, local craft cheeses, and much more. Crowded with locals every Sunday, when most everything else is closed. Go early, vendors start packing up by about 2:00 pm and there is a LOT to see.

We were surprised at the amount of stuff here, old and new, fresh and aged, all combinations. The grilled sausage was excellent. Even had multi 10 window VW vans for sale, though the prices were outrageous

My husband really wanted to visit this, although we have been to many around the world. It was no different except there were a lot of live animals which concerned me. Very crowded with people and junk.
