This licenced café is one of the least pretentious places on Rarotonga, yet it's food is very tasty. The chef and café principal understand food flavours well and their Pacific-rim fusion is fabulous to eat and freshly prepared.
The day our group dined at Café Ariki, we were served mixed salads, raw-fish, seared tuna steaks, marinated chicken, hot and cold vegetables, together with sauces and condiments, followed by ice-cream, and local fruits combined in a salad. All high quality presentation and of great value too.
Café Ariki is a little of the beaten track when considering a meal out, but well worth the effort to find on the back road in Avarua.
