“A little gem that's off the beaten track”
Review of Apii Cafe - CLOSED

Apii Cafe
Cuisines: Polynesian
Description: Apii Cafe was the best find for yum food and value in Rarotonga. New small cafe with outdoor tables. Beautifully cooked fish in coconut cream and coriander served with saffron rice, squash, salad and green banana($12) small size curried chicken but actually the size of a main for $6 served also with rice, salad and squash. Also cold meat sandwiches available at $6. Best value on island. Runs around the back of Cooks corner off main street, opposite the bowling green. Friendly people.

Have been to Apii Cafe a few times now. Best to go on a sunny day. The raw fish is great / the curried fish supberb. He serves a lovely Ice Tea - must try. Nice touches with the food presentation always makes it a pleasure to go back. Keep up the good work.

Kia orana Apii Cafe. We had lunch at Apii cafe on our last day in Rarotonga. This is definately a hidden gem cafe and we highly recommend this eating establishment. It is only open for lunch at this stage,11am-3pm. The cafe is on the back road behind the township, opposite the bowling club. All we can say is the food is outstanding, very refreshing, tasty island food, not huge portions but just right for lunch. Try the coffee with coconut cream, its wonderful. The cafe has a outside dinning setting with approx 8 tables, the staff were very welcoming and friendly and the service was very fast and efficent. We will definately be coming back for lunch when we are next in Rarotonga. Meitaki Apii cafe
