“I can't believe this is rated #1 of the hotels in Nadi!”

Or perhaps I was just unlucky. Apparently I was upgraded to an 'Executive' room, but looking at the layout of the hotel on the emergency escape information it was the same size as all the others. The reception was not friendly, but not rude. The first impression of the room was that it looked nice, but the layout was odd, and not user-friendly, and very dark. The pool and grounds were lovely. I was only there for one night so ate at the restaurant. The service was good but the food was edible, but not great. It was OK until I woke up at 2 am with a nasty stomach bug. Thank goodness I'd brought meds. When I mentioned at checkout that I was unwell after eating at the restaurant, the desk clerk didn't even acknowledge what I'd said. I said it twice just to be sure I was understood!

We stayed here after arriving in the early evening from Australia. We were met by the shuttle as pre arranged.
Check in was smooth, & we were very happy with our room, very quiet and clean. We ate at the restaurant for dinner & the food was delicious. Our early morning wake up call came as asked, and again the shuttle was there to take us to the airport for our flight to Labassa.
On our return we were upgraded to a deluxe pool room , very nice leading out to the pool, clean and large.
Once again we ate in the restaurant and the food couldn't be faulted.
Our shuttle was waiting for us in the morning to take us to the airport for our flight back to Australia.
I would definitely stay here again if catching early flights to outer islands or an early flight home.

We stayed overnight before an early flight to Australia, after being out in the Yasawa Islands. The room, although a little dark and boxy, was very clean & well-maintained, as are the grounds and gardens.

We didn't hear any noise from the planes, even though the terminal is right across the street. If you don't have lots of luggage to carry, then it really is a very quick & easy walk over (though they do offer a free shuttle)!

A good option for a stopover.

Raffles thoroughly deserves its great TripAdvisor reviews. Location-wise, it's literally just across the road from the airport (although as Nadi is a fairly quiet airport, you won't be disturbed by plane noise). There is a free shuttle bus, but unless your laden down with luggage, much quicker and easier just to walk! Having the airport across the road is also handy for shops, coffee, ATMs, etc.
I paid for a slightly bigger room, and was pretty happy with what I got. Décor is 'Fiji style' with a lot of dark wood, etc. This can make the room feel a bit dark and tired, but nothing that really causes a problem. Room was spotless, and had all the usual amenities, including tea / coffee facilities, a fridge, and decent air conditioning and shower!! There was a small balcony, but no furniture on it, so not really a place to sit out. Wifi is available throughout the hotel for a fee.

Due to its proximity to the airport, many people seem to just stay overnight, meaning that during the day, the hotel's pretty much deserted. No problems therefore getting a sunbed or having plenty of space in the pool! There's also a decent gym. The hotel has a small souvenir shop, plus a Rosie Holidays tour desk, useful for booking excursions (having done a couple of their trips, I can recommend them).

The bar / restaurant area is open plan, and the food is pretty good. Be aware that there's not much else restaurant-wise in walking distance, and therefore if you're a bit of a foodie, you'll need to be prepared to get a cab out in the evenings. Same goes if you're a beach-goer!

One of the hotel's strongest points though has to be the friendliness of the staff. It's an often-used travel cliché, but in a country where tipping is not encouraged, you do get the sense that the smiles and greetings are much more sincere.

Overall, if you want a decent, quiet, friendly hotel away from the big beach resorts, or need the convenience of being close to the airport, Raffles is the perfect option!

Stayed overnight here. Was great that I was able to check in early, sure the room may have been dated but the staff were all fantastic, well kept surrounds and the food was some of the best I had tasted. Definitely will stop over again.

They have complimentary pick up and transfer to Nadi airport.

Serves its purpose for a 1 night stopover, nothing fancy. Was a bit careful with water in the fridge as wasn't sure if it was bottled water, didn't risk it, went out to the shops and bought bottled water.

Aircon in the room didn't work properly.

There are no lifts, if you have a lot of luggage, best to have a room on the ground floor.

We had forgotten our adapter, we asked the hotel reception if they had one, they said they only have 1 and it's already with another customer and suggested I went and bought one from the hotel shop. That was far tooo expensive. Wasn't too impressed with that.

I travelled with my 6 year old son Jan 2014. On arrival we were warmly greeted and the check-in process was easy with our bags delivered to our room. Our deluxe room was very nice and tidy with all the modern facilities. We were a short walk to the large swimming pool and fantastic kids slide that I couldn't resist having a go on. It was awesome to muck around with the kids. The hotel was immaculate and had lovely paths and gardens. Nice food and drinks, gym, pool tables. This is the ideal place to stay at the beginning and end of your Fiji adventures. Less than 1 mins drive from Nadi International Airport. On our very last day after leaving Plantation, Malolo Cat then bus transfer we discovered the option to stay poolside at Raffles as we had a wait before our flight departed. It was so nice to swim and have a drink at the bar rather than waiting in the airport. Highly recommended.
