The Mercure Nadi was the perfect place to have an overnight stop in Nadi. The shuttle bus pickup and drop off was excellent, as we were on an earlier flight than expected and the bus came out specifically for us when an airport staff member rang the hotel. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. There are many eating places within walking distance of the hotel and a nearby Indian restaurant was excellent. The best experience I had at the hotel was a massage and pedicure at the Day Spa.It was wonderful!

Room Tip: Our room was on the ground floor wirh a small patio area and close to the pool.

We chose the Mercure twice for a one night stay for practical reasons: it's close to the airport, they offer free airport transfers and there are ATM's and supermarket nearby (5 minute walk). Opposite the supermarket you'll also find a cheap internet cafe, as internet at the Mercure is far too expensive. The rooms are well equipped, clean, meeting the Mercure standards. Breakfast is okay, a bit overpriced, and the dining area a bit messy, chaotic (esp. when having early breakfast). Experienced twice that at check in staff isn't as friendly and welcoming as we experienced in other hotels on the island.

We booked into the hotel around 2 pm, it wasnt until we were in the room that a cleaner told us that there was no power and it wouldnt be back on until 8pm. With this I booked my children into another hotel that had power. We went to dinner and arrived back at the hotel at 10.30pm to find still no power on one side of the hotel, yet the other side had some power. This meant that we could not see a thing in our room and we could not have a shower as there was no hot water. After asking for some candles so that we could see in our room we then asked for some areoguard as the rooms were so hot and it would not be possible to sleep with the doors closed. But there is no screens on any of the doors in the entire hotel, which means we would have been eaten alive by mosiquitoes. we were told that they had no areogurard. My partner went off his head with this, so the manager moved us to a room to sleep the nite on the other side which had some power and we were able to run a fan. In the morning we returned to our own room where all of our belongs were to find that the key had been locked as recepection was told that we had moved room.

I would really like for someone from Acor to ring me in regard to our stay as something definately needs to be done.

I have been staying at the Mercure continuously for the past three years on my way to various destinations. I've tried all the major transit hotels in the Nadi region except for the Tanoa.
I've consistently chosen the Mercure specifically because the location is perfect and you don't get bored staying in your room. Most of the transit hotels a isolated on top of hills, so your forced to shop in their shops and eat at their restaurants. The Mercure is right next to a supermarket, its across the street from Ed's Bar, their are several quite good restaurants within walking distance such as the Japanese Restaurant which is exceptionally good. Sitar which has a great menu and very reasonable. The hotel itself has excellent staff, the rooms are 3 star, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms a 3 star clean. However, I think the highlight of the hotel is the garden/pool area. It gives the hotel, a very relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for business and transit passengers. The only downside of the hotel is the Internet connectivity, it's outrageously expensive when most hotels in the region are offering it for free. I get around it by accessing the Global Gossip wifi network coming from the Hexagon hotel next door.
Overall, stay at this hotel, it's cheap, it has free parking, the food is good, drinks are priced within expectations, the rooms are not spectacular but comfortable and the location is the best in the Nadi area.

We arrived at 8pm in Nadi, so decided to stay a day in Nadi before heading to our resort on the Coral Coast. Choosing the Mercure as we were 2 adults and 2 kids, so we needed a little more space.

The rooms were adequate, not large, but with 2 double beds and a nice bathroom, plus tv, min fridge etc. Breakfasts are expensive, and not really that flash. We ended up grabbing fresh baked goods and coffee from the bakery 300m at Jetpoint Centre for breakfast. Saved ourselves lots of money. The pool was ok for cooling off in, but quite small so not much good for doing much else.

Got 30 min WiFi for $5 located in reception, and also used the hotel tours desk to book Coral Coast transfers to get to hideaway Resort. Good price ($16 per adult) one way and door to door service from the hotels. ONly two buses per day meant we had an early start, but this wasn't a prob as the kids were up early anyway.

On our rest day we went into Nadi, caught the local bus from outside the Mercure. They assume that people only want taxis, but for $2 Fj per person local buses are the cheapest and easiest way to get around.

Found the Mercure rooms to be clean, although a little dated. Beds were 'firm' but surprisingly comfortable. Pillows weren't that great, but useable. We had asked for a ground floor room, which was nice as we could wander out from our veranda. Upstairs rooms had minimal attraction as there were no views to see.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor room away from the restaurant
