Owner description: One of the most picturesque villages in Fiji, this one retains the traditional bures (thatched huts supported by center poles) that have been replaced in other villages by prefabricated concrete homes.

“Navala village”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

A wonderful day into the highlands, our guide Solomon was a wealth of information and the village people were wonderful. The school children were so great and polite, they love having their photo taken and looking at the result.

“Travel back in time. ”
Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

To experience the essence of real Fiji this is a must visit. If you are traveling from nadi its a looooong drive however once you get there you will forget all that. The place is so calming and it will feel like you have traveled 100s of years back in time. The villagers are so humble and welcoming. Visit the local village and take pictures with the cute school kids. Enjoy a laid back Fijian lunch and once you are leaving there is opportunity to dip into cool river. You would be pleased you came to visit this place.
