This was our first trip to Fiji and we did our homework and chose a place that offered good facilities in a great location. If you want to avoid the ultra-commercial and crowded large resorts, Bedarra Beach Inn is the answer. We could not fault any part of the service or facilities. During our stay we ate almost every day and night in the cafe and restaurant, snorkelled in the clear waters of the coral reef across the road and took advantage of the organised tours in the local area. Every single member of staff made our stay a memorable one just by being so friendly and helpful. The chefs in the kitchen should be commended for their outstanding food (between us we tried just about everything). We will definitely be going back to Bedarra Beach Inn and wotld like to thank all of their staff for such a wonderful holiday experience. Fiji really is the friendliest place on Earth. Thankyou from Kylie and Simon (Sydney, Australia).

My husband and I wanted a relaxing holiday and we found it at Bedarra. The staff are friendly, the food is fantastic, the quality of the rooms is superb. Would recommend this place to anyone.

My friend and I stayed for 12 days at the Bedarra Beach Inn, just 10 minutes drive out of Sigatoka, Coral Coast, Fiji. I read alot of reviews about this hotel before we booked and I can assure you we were not disappointed. The food and service was excellent, the staff were the friendliest we encountered throughout our stay in Fiji. I can't say enough positive things about this little jewel of a hotel. Whilst it is only small in comparison to the major resorts, and it doesn't have TV or even phones in the room, but I can say we didn't miss them. A haven of peace and serenity and they all went out of their way to ensure we were absolutely spoiled and pampered. The nightly entertainment was delightful, the cocktails simply wonderful, and the cost and quality of the food was A1. I'll definitely be going back there again, and I will highly recommend all my friends to go stay there too. If you are looking for peace and quiet GO THERE!

At Bedarra Beach Inn, I received the most melodious island welcome that I have ever experienced, anywhere in the Pacific. Three musicians were so talented that small children were drawn to the flax mat to sit and sway to the music. At the Ocean Terrace restaurant that night these same musicians welcomed each table with a song from their own country. The food was exceptional for the price, and there was a good variety of Island and ‘white man’ cuisine.

There are only twenty five rooms on site, and the theme from Cheers came to mind as “Everybody Knows Your Name”. My room was large enough to do some Rock ‘n’ Roll moves, without breaking table lamps. The tribal sized bed, large wardrobe, fridge, and immaculate bathroom were much appreciated. Most of all I loved that there was no TV! The view from my balcony overlooking the pool and lagoon was mesmerising, and I found it difficult to turn my back on it.

There is no ‘Kids Club’, and if you or your family need a barrage of planned activities, Bedarra is not for you. However, there is a babysitting service, and you can borrow snorkelling equipment and kayaks for free. The tour operators will pick you up at the door and drop you home. Bedarra Inn is for those who have the time to relax, want to be treated like family, and be well fed. If you want to explore the area, Kula Eco Park is the number one must see, and I enjoyed the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park.

Our Stay in Bedarra Beach Inn was far too short, Perfect location - central to do many activities such as tours, heading out to islands for day trips, shopping in near by towns, and just relaxing by the beach or pool!, Perfect Staff!- all at bedarra are helpful, attentive and make you feel right at home! Perfectly Clean- the facilities are clean, well presented, the standard was made aware to us when we made a day trip out to a island 'luxury resort' where the facilities were not even comparable to Bedarras cleaniness........HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!! loved it!!!!!

For our week on the Coral Coast we studied TA reviews and considered our budget, and chose Bedarra. What a find! It's difficult to add anything to all the reviews so far except to add they're all true.
The Inn itself is small and understated. We had a huge "deluxe" room on the second floor, which housed our family of 4 with oodles of room. We loved the balcony with ocean/beach views (and views of the pool where we could supervise the children while imbibing in the duty free collection). The room was spotless, beautifully serviced, light and bright.
The bar and dining areas had real atmosphere, brought people together and encouraged mingling. Our kids loved just sitting and listening to Elizabeth, Tom and Roy sitting around the karva bowl, they still talk about it (who needs kids' "activities").
Dining was a wonderful experience each night, in 6 nights, we worked our way steadily through magnificent meals with 5 star presentation. The wait staff were efficient and courteous always waiting to refill your water glass and ready for a chat, especially with the children. The atmosphere on the dining terrace was terrific, with candles, fans, beautiful linens. The strolling serenading (in a good way) trio took requests and improvised, as well as stopping at each table. There were many celebrations while we were there (birthdays, anniversaries) and I swear the biggest cakes I have ever seen were delivered to delighted tables with the full staff attending and singing. The manager even kindly allowed one group to distribute the remains of their cake to the rest of the restaurant, not something you see every day. We saw many groups coming from the Outrigger too, such was the reputation of Bedarra (not to mention the very reasonable prices). There is a kids' menu too, huge portions of spag bol (about A$6) fish and chips and others up to A$10 which could easily be adult meals! The pizza (fed 2 or 3) was about A$16, the gourmet meals were about FJD$25 (and we did see many lobster meals delivered).
Bedarra was a good base for our activities (waterfall, village, snorkelling, ecopark), you can visit the Outrigger down the road (kids' road tested their humungous pool, but we found the resort far too sprawling and busy) or have fun on the local buses (catch outside the Outrigger) for $1 bus trips with the locals (we visited other resorts for future research, but decided nothing matched Bedarra). Mostly though the burnt out parents parked themselves across the "road" on the manicured patch of garden under trees surveying the raked beach reading while the kids snorkeled or kayaked (at high tide) or dug in the sand. The small pool is perfect for a quiet dip, and the small number of kids staying enjoyed this too.
We were worried that this wouldn't be a great place for our kids (8 & 10) but they had a wonderful time and continue to talk about it (a much better time than the "family" oriented Plantation Island we went to later.)
Lastly, as said before, the service here is phenomenal in so many small ways. The Manager always went out of his way to help and no request was too small. When we returned home we received a personal letter thanking us for our visit, and informing us the housekeeper had found a small DS game in our room which they would mail to us!
We will return to Bedarra on the Coral Coast (even though we prefer the islands) because it is a perfect spot to stop and enjoy the friendliness of Fiji, good food, relaxation and "fiji time".
Vinaka all those at Bedarra! We will return.
