“Great for the price”
Reviewed 15 July 2013

We stayed in a family room on the top floor. The staff are very friendly and professional. The hotel is a little worn out, the mattresses aren't great, but the sheets are nice and everything is clean. I like the way it is cut into the side of the hill, and there are nice views over the docks (not from our room). The shared basic kitchenette is a bonus. It's fantastically situated, an easy walk from the bus station, and even shorter to the markets and cinema. There are four supermarkets within a two minute walk.

This place was really good value for money, especially as after the first night I got moved up a floor, which meant I received a hot water shower as well for the same price. Annie is an amazing woman, she is so friendly, as are all the staff and they make you feel like you are at home, nothing is a problem for them. The facilities are basic but they are worth what you pay, and it is located very close to the city, the malls, and fruit market. Many people asked if my stuff was safe in that part of Suva, but nothing in my room was every touched, and everyone seemed very trustworthy.
The only downfall was there is no wifi and the internet cafe did not work when I tried to use it.
I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Book the third floor, it has hot showers and a kitchenette.

I stayed there after moving out from Colonial Lodge, Suva, and was grateful for the uncomplicated wellcome. The place is clean, but shower is working, no breakfast, but small kitchen can be used. No internet either, but I got myself a stick, so no problem there. The location is close to city centre and markets, so it is easy to reach everything on foot. Don't expect anything fancy, but if you need a clean place to sleep that is your choice.

Room Tip: There are rooms to the street - more light but slightly more noisy. The rooms on the side are darker...
