We stayed at Punatea Village for four nights and really enjoyed it. The rooms are decently furnished with a deck overlooking a rocky beach to the sound of surf. The gardens are attractive and well cared for. The swimming pool is small and there is a communal kitchen which was once a restaurant. The kitchen isn't well equipped, is quite dirty and basic. It has a good fridge and freezer and rather grubby foodstore. The rooms, too could do with a good clean. There is a ceiling fan but no A/C which was fine for us in July. Service is very friendly and helpful.
The big drawback is that it's very difficult to swim especially if it isn't absolutely calm.More
