I had the most amazing stay in this hotel for the Miss Tourism World 2013. I felt so welcomed when I arrived and the hospitality here is brilliant. I couldn't have wished for a better stay in a hotel!

Sofitel Sipopo is very well located. Its surroundings are extremely peaceful and the hotel provides a good service in entertaining such as the golf course and the spa. The staff is nice as well as the food. If you are travelling to Malabo I strongly recommend you stay in this hotel.

despite being there for just a couple of days, this hotel will have you wanting to stay in Malabo, let alone leaving the hotel itself...

only guilt will come out from leaving the bed, it is THE single most comfortable bed i have ever been in. the vast rooms have been designed with taste and soul put into it.

fans of chocolate this is the place where you want to be, the best Chocolate drinks are served cold or hot i bet you would enjoy sipping it.

coming to the only restaurant in the hotel, i have to say this is the weak point of it and it needs some more work done, re-vamp the menu and educate the employees on it, but this shouldn't keep you from staying here, as definitely you would find something that satisfies your appetite from the existing menu.

Room Tip: Room Facing the Sea with the little island

    Dear Boutrosaya,

Thank you very much for your review on tripadvisor. We are glad you enjoyed our cultural link on your arrival "Iced Chocolate". We must say that this welcome drink really surprise our guest. Not usual for a welcome drink but above all, a way to show part of the local culture strait from your arrival.

I saw as well that you really love our bed concept that is call "Mybed". The only problem we have with this concept s that guest do not want to wake up in the morning ;-)

I took note about your remark concerning the restaurant and I can assure you that we have start to take some action to upgrade our service in this area.

Thank you again and hope to welcome you again soon.

We have been there for a short trip.
The hotel is pleasure paradise. The property have been created with a very nice taste.
We attend a french food event that spolied us with french wines, foie and small sweet delights.

But the luxurious ambience is not only on the lobby or the gardens, is on the big rooms, the sea, or golf views from your balcony and in the amazing well stocked amenities of the bathroom. The luxury is all over the property, specilally on the perfect trained staff that help you on every need and that beat every other african hotel that i know.

Great cocktails on the lobby bar, and superfabolous breakfast buffet.

Nice touch the organic cold cocoa cup that you get during the checking.

Definetly we will come back for a longer stay in order to enjoy the beautifull pool, the beach and the SPA.

PD. I will review the golf side of the hotel on a next post (i hope i could start golfing there in a short time)

Room Tip: The best rooms are on the side each floor (we had the suite 400) Excellent room!!

    Dear Pablo,

It is always a pleasure to read such a nice review from one of our guest.

Well, I must say to be here during our Sofitel worldwilde french wine event is a plus ;-)
What did you prefer with your wine ? Foie Gras, Cervice, Salmon or maybe a delicious buffet of dessert made only with chocolate ?

Definintly the place is the good one to start golfing, and on top if you manage to have a good handicap here, you will be very good going back to you home country as our golf course is classified "difficult".

So let's hope you will be back soon in Sofitel Sipopo.

    Best regards

I play golf regularly at Sofitel Malablo Le Golf. We stayed in the hotel twice, the first one was on September 1, 2013 two days after my wife arrived from the Philippines and another night was spent last Sept 28, 2013. We rate our stay in the hotel as excellent. It is a perfect place for us to relax and enjoy each others company. Rooms are big, clean and facilities are very impressive. Room service is quick.

Front desk officers as well as the bellhop are courteous and very accommodating.

Food is of good quality, particularly, the buffet breakfast has various menu to choice from. Waiters and waitresses are well trained.

We enjoyed strolling around the hotel premises. The nearby beach has a fantastic view.

Room Tip: At the side where they view the beach front

    Dear ildeberdan,

Thank you for your comment. That is true that you are more and more golf player overnighting in the hotel. The best way to enjoy a Sunday morning on the golf course is to have slept in our "MyBed" concept bed.

I am glad that your wife enjoyed the place as well and we hope to see you again more often to spend the week-end here. Maybe during our Golf Pro-Am competition i October 20th.
