Six friends walked over from Skanderbeg Square, about 5 minutes. Lovely mid 1800's mansion with Ottoman styling. Started with large platters of salad to pass, then a pass around of squares of white corn (maise) in yogurt. Nice selection of breads, leavened and unleavened, with a tasty butter. Then what our Albanian friend called a local specialty: vegetable chunks (like zucchini and winter and summer squash and carrot with tomatoes and sauce of) with chunks of assorted meats, all baked in curds (as in unfinished chunks of cheese). Quite tasty. Lots of a dark red and a fruity White House wine - both pleasant and inoffensive- of Albanian origin washed it down for about 800 Leke each ($8). Friendly helpful waiter fluent in Italian, English, German.
