On our last night in Minsk, our Project Team Leader, Kevin invited us to dinner to this restaurant well known to one of the key experts, who is a jazz enthusiast.
Naturally, we had to sit not far from the band, which was ideal though we thought at first that the music would be very loud - it was not, after all. Being in an Italian restaurant, we ordered Italian. We ordered soup, risotto, pasta, salad and some foccacia bread rosemary and basil, which were just perfectly crispy and soft at the same time, so the two portions were gone in a few minutes. I chose spinach soup with quail eggs and pasta with seafood, which were all good choices accompanied by Australian Chardonay.
The band played some good jazz and our jazz enthusiast was allowed to borrow the microphone for a while to sing "Happy birthday" for Kevin. The waitress offered afterwards a free dessert since it was his birthday, and the choice fell on Italian ice cream, which was as good it gets.
A nice evening to remember!
