“Nature's good, but the location needs renovation”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 March 2012

Well, in general the nature is okay. But all buildings, and the scenery in general, need to be renovated. It's a common thing for that country, as many of its attractions (not major ones) are somewhat run down.

“Best place in Republic.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 January 2012

You can find everything here for wild rest. Maybe there are any other nice places, but it is most close to Belorussian megapolis.

“Mostly for lokals”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 December 2011

Big atrifical lake, not beautiful surrounding, some places with sand - more interesting for lokals who can't travel abroad and want some summer pleasures

“Minsk sea frozen”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 February 2011

I went to the Minsk sea when it was completely frozen... The sight was amazing, I have never personally seen a vast amount of water frozen and it was really beautiful... Interesting too to see people walking on top of the ice and doing hole fishing... A nice community of people doing it with some nice vodka too... Is worth a visit...a voice of caution... Bring good shoes and excellent coat or enough layers to cover yourself... Gloves and hat!

“a quiet landscape paradise a few minutes away from Minsk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 February 2010

I went to Minsk sea on my last week in Belarus.... and now I regret... I wish I had know it before!!! I come from a coast region so I am used to good beaches. Anyway, althought it could seem it's a small dirty pond... I discovered a wonderfull vast lake(I am serious you feel like its a real sea, because you can't see the ending of the lake).
On the other hand, beaches are small and sand it's no wonder if you are used to white, good sand, and you would probably have to walk a few long (about 20-30 mins... specialy if you are comming for the first time, alone, and by train!!):. Neverytheless, they are well fournished: some have showers and a place for putting on you swim suit).
Ah, yes!!! you don't need a car or a private meaning of transportation, as there is a train form Minsk Raillway Central station which runs every half an hour or an hour ( deppending on the day... anyway I can't remeber the frequencies accurately). The ride will take tou a bit less than 30 mins and it will drop you just a few metters from the begining of the beach (it has it's own stop : Minskoe More -Минское Море). The single ride ticket it's about 1000BYR (so about 0'25euros!!). There are a few open-air restaurants where you can eat for reasonable prices ( about 20,000BYR, so 5 euros).

Summing up, I would say it-s an excelent attraction if you have enought time in Minsk. It can be specialy enjoyable if you go with your friends or family as you can have a barbecue just in the border of the "sea", practise windsurf (there's a school, where, I think, you can rent some boards). A quiet landscape paradise a few minutes away from Minsk!
