Excellent location, helpful staff, super facilities, great restaurant, fantastic value for money. I normally try and find appartments when i travel on business - in Sarajevo i don't hesitate to book this hotel.

I was visiting Sarajevo for a week in order to attend various meetings and the Hotel Central was perfect for me. Not only the location (2 minutes walk from the main shopping street and 4 minutes from the Old City) but free wi-fi, a taxi rank outside the door and the super helpful Manager, Enis, who not only gave this first time visitor excellent advice but also helped to reunite me with my suitcase, which had not made it! He must have phoned Sarajevo airport 10 times on my behalf! All of this was done with a friendly charm and perfect English.
The room was spacious and well equipped - I have an obsession with airconditioning and am delighted to confirm it worked perfectly. The hotel is non smoking, a real plus in a city of chain smokers without a smoking ban. The restaurant serves huge portions of a variety of foods, including some Indonesian dishes. It must be noted no alcohol is served but there are plenty of bars nearby if you fancy a drink, as well as the Hotel Europe 200 metres away, which has a huge bar. There are 6 types of breakfast to choose from, each costing 10KM (5 Euro) with delicious fresh coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. The portions are vast, as seems to be the norm in Sarajevo.
The hotel has a gym, spa and pool but unfortunately I didn't have the time or the energy to use them. I did hear they are all of a high standard.

Room Tip: I asked for a high quiet room

The room was incredible, in actual fact it was a suite with beautiful leather sofas and furnishings. Bathroom was stunning. We had a balcony with a view over the hills of Sarajevo and it was fantastic value for the money. The young man on reception was by far the most courteous and helpful we had on this European tour. The people are friendly and the scenery is breathtaking. Our journey here by car was the most memorable of the whole trip.

Really nice boutique hotel in an excellent location. Rooms are very comfortable and very nicely done up, with some done up as duplexs. We did not get to use the spa center as it was closed during our stay. The electronic card system for access is a bit of a nightmare as it does not always work Definetely recommend it.

The hotel is well situated in the center of Sarajevo right beside the old town. The hotel has a trendy design look to it with an ample reception area in connection to a restaurant and bar. The interior has a very contemporary fresh look to it and everything is new and tidy.

Check-in was fairly smooth and I had a junior suite on the 4th floor. Service was friendly and efficient. The room was large with high ceilings and the furnishing was lavish and of the quality you would expect from a boutique hotel. A gym with brand new equipment as well as a pool and sauna area is part of the hotel. However, some finishing details were amiss: the electronically working curtains would not all function properly and therefore one window was left unveiled. The washroom sinks were queerly adjusted high up which made washing inconvenient. Hot water in the evening was a bit insufficient but warm enough to take a quick shower. Sound proofing was also a bit inadequate as you could hear the slightest sound from the corridor. Breakfast was included with a modest price. Basic options of bread, yoghurt, juice and coffee. No breakfast buffet available. The minibar only stocked non-alcoholic beverages.

All in all, the hotel has a great look and design to it. A few missing details would give it a four star rating. Now I’ll give it a three and a half (3,5).

I stayed at the Hotel Central one day after I stayed at the City Boutique Hotel. The hotels are just 200 meters apart. But the Central is a bit better located since it is on a quieter street. As I wrote in my review of the City, it is more of B&B whereas the Central is definitely a “real” hotel. So the Central offers more than the City. However the one thing that can be compared is the rooms. And here the City actually is a smidgen better than the Central. Upon arrival at the Central the receptionist showed me to my room and explained a few things. At checkout the manager asked if everything had been in order. In general the service at the hotel is quite good. The waitress in Restaurant for dinner was kind of indifferent though. No smiles or anything.
Pros:
Breakfast – best I’ve had in Sarajevo with eggs cooked to order – however no buffet which some might consider a minus.
Gym – well equipped fitness club connected to hotel.
Restaurant – food quality was actually quite good.
Service
Well tempered room
Nice lobby

Cons:
No alcohol in room or restaurant  - guess it is common for many places in Sarajevo.
WIFI speed – same as City Boutique Hotel. It’s ok for common surfing and music streaming. But video streaming is a no go.
Work desk in room – the desk in the room was way too high to work at; that is actually my biggest complaint.
Hate the pillows – but that’s more of a Bosnia thing. I’ve never had a feather pillow in BiH.

This is definitely the best hotel in Sarajevo. However if you only need a room and not the other offerings of a hotel then you should consider the City Boutique Hotel. Price is about the same.
Recommendations to the hotel: Body lotion, bathing oils and bathing salt in bathroom would seem natural since there is a nice a big bathtub, alcoholic drinks, lower work desks in room, faster Internet, drawers, stand for suitcase, pancakes for breakfast.
