“A comfortable hotel in a good location”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

We recently stayed at Hotel Bosnia for one night, en route to Dubrovnik. The hotel was clean and the staff were efficient. The room was comfortable, and of a good size. Although fairly basic, the facilities were acceptable. We were travelling on a bus tour, and breakfast and dinner were included in our package. The breakfast offerings were fairly limited, but were adequate and well presented. The dinner was served efficiently and the food was well-flavoured. This is a good hotel in a convenient location. Major attractions such as the Eternal Flame Monument, City Hall / National Library, Seher Cehaja’s Bridge and the picturesque Turkish bazaar, Bascavsija, are all within walking distance of the hotel. Ghazi Husrev-Bey’s Mosque and the Gavrilo Principe Museum (The Siege Exhibition) are also reasonably close.

I ended up here because I had to extend my stay and the Hotel Europa was fully booked and could not extend my stay. This is a very basic hotel with rooms so small that I had to take the chair and put it in the hall. The elevator stops between floors and you have to carry your luggage up and down stairs to reach your room. The only upscale thing was the price: Over 100 euro while the top notch Hotel Europa down the street was 95. The breakfast was very basic. My advise: Avoid

Room Tip: Ask to see the room. Maybe they have some that are regular size.

The hotel was located in central downtown, and all attractions are easy to reach. The rooms were nice and very quite. Unfortunately, the choices for the breakfast were limited and some food was cold. Overall, I would stay here again

Currently I am on a business trip in Sarajevo, hotel Bosnia is clean comfortable and very central, it is very quiet so little disturbance in the rooms. The breakfast is ok, typical continental, facilities in the rooms would be improved with the provision of a kettle and cups etc and an iron...
I would stay here again without a sinking feeling... :)

This is an older hotel with clear limitations. The hotel is conveniently situated for the bars and restaurants of Sarajevo and both check in and check out are good and efficient. The remainder of the hotel is in the rather basic and lacking in any form of ambiance category.

The rooms is small. There is basically room for a bed and then a desk pushed into the window area with a chair. Furniture is basic. The television has intermittent sound and the internet service is generally poor particularly on the upper floors. The room is adequately although not efficiently cleaned.

Sarajevo is a City for smokers, so I would suggest you start now if you want to stay in this hotel. My room was full of the smell of smoke which even leaving the windows open would not clear. Whether this hotel is the best of a bad lot I have no idea. I suspect that it probably is.

Room Tip: If you want to use internet access I would suggest that a lower floor might be better.

Spent one nigh here during a bus trip. This hotel is supposed to be one of the better ones in Sarajevo. Good sized room. Set up for a single person when we arrived. When I asked for it to be set up as a double person at reception did not arrange (kept cutting up some paper) until I waited 5 minutes and asked a second time. We had been warned. Meal was included in the tour as we got in late. Was meant to be a buffet, but we were "upgraded" to a set meal. Not that good a meal. Suggest you leave any paid for meal in the hotel walk 10 minutes to the old Turkish area and buy your own. Much better quality. Breakfast was chaotic. Several tours groups in. Small area for food, which was not quickly replenished. One slow coffee machine for 60 - 70 people.
