I was so happy to have lucked out and found this restaurant just across the street from my hotel (Radisson Blu). I was tired and hungry and really didn't want to go searching for a place to eat or to eat in the hotel. I could see from the plates of the people dining outside that the food looked very good, so I took a chance. I'm glad I did. The pasta ragu was excellent: very light and fresh rather than thick and gluey. The millefoglie was delicious with fresh strawberries peeking out of the Chantilly cream. The interior of the restaurant was both charming and elegant, and the service was perfect. To top it all off, the manager, Mr Atanas Dimitrov, not only spoke impeccable English, but had spent 9 months in my hometown working at a restaurant with which I am familiar. It was a wonderful meal and a wonderful respite after a long day. I heartily recommend La Capannina.
