The frescoes on the ceiling and walls seem to be uncared for. It was very dark and for a UNESCO site, it was surprising that the frescoes had not been restored or preserved better. The exterior was extremely beautiful. The gardens are a nice place to take a rest. We visited on a Sunday when community members were chatting with the priests. It was lovely to see how involved the priests are with the parishioners.
