“Great hotel for business”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

nice hotel, friendly staff, fast check-in (for old guests), proper Internet connections, hassle free connection, breakfast is appropriate. Rooms are not big but have a high ceiling which makes it feel bigger, Proper shower/bathroom. The only minus point is that there are no restaurants close by.. Otherwise good value for the money.

The hotel is relatively new with modern furnishings and a well equipped bathroom with a nice shower. The street outside the hotel is not that busy but the the insulation is not perfect so cars can be heard passing by. If you are visiting or just having a layover in Zagreb with a car the hotel is located just of one of the main avenues that cuts through Zagreb. There is also a convenient tram stop close to the hotel that takes you to the main square. Breakfast is also very good for a small hotel with plenty of choice and good quality of offering. A convenient parking is provided for by the hotel.

If you need accommodations for one, two nights in Zagreb this this hotel is a good choice. We're talking about a small type of hotel where the rooms are decent, clean and tidy and spacious enough.Hotel staff friendly and helpful.Breakfast was plentiful and varied in a small restaurant with a decent terrace.
All in all, quite a good hotel for business travel. Any recommendation.

This hotel is really good value and the staff are really helpful at all times. It's in a residential area away from the main drag and city centre, which we found an advantage - taxis are cheap and the hotel has an excellent taxi driver they use. Near a lively local market and Jarun Lake, which has an excellent restaurant. Rooms good and ubiquitous wifi very reliable. Breakfasts good, with outdoor seating, which we relished since there was a heatwave whilst we were there. Air con works fine. My only gripe is about the non-stop piped music in public areas - but to be fair, it wasn't terribly obtrusive. Strongly recommended and will certainly stay there again next time in Zagreb.

Room Tip: Choose one at the back if you can - there's lots of noise from the frogs, but this is better tha...

The hotel is new and not attractive from the outside. But inside the rooms are lovely, very nice and cosy. It is very clean and furnished with taste. The breakfast is quite ok. A disadvantage is its location since it's about 5 km away from the city centre, but at the other hand it is close to the Jarun lake which is an excellent place for outdoor activities.

Hotel Jarun is a fantastic deal if you have a car. Parking is free and right outside. It's a convenient 20 minute drive to / from the airport. You can leave your car at the hotel and explore the city. It's very difficult to find parking in the city center so it's better to use public transport within Zagreb. The nearest tram stop to the hotel is Staglisce (about a 4 minute walk away). The city center is 20 minutes away via tram # 17, 10 kunas each way. Take the tram towards Borongaj, not Precko. Get off at Jelicica (the central square of Zagreb). If you need to take a taxi to/ from the airport, it's about 130 kuna or $23 USD. The nearby man-made Jarun Lake (15 minute walk away) is not worth seeing. Any real lake you have ever seen is better than this one. There's a small grocery store about a 2 minute walk away called Diona.

The hotel has free wifi and breakfast. Rooms are quiet. Furnishings are modern and clean. The bathroom is large, and the shower has great water pressure. There is a mini-fridge and flat screen TV. Prices are reasonable. We stayed here for less than $100 USD/night.

On the downside, if you don't have a car, then you will be better off staying closer to the city center. The hotel feels like it's in an isolated location without nearby restaurants, cafés, or nightlife. It's not in a hip, trendy, or fun area. In other words, stay here if you have a car. Consider other accommodations if you don't have a car.

The Hotel Jarun really is a good value for money offering rooms with enough space, cozy bed and, if you got a room to the back of the hotel, also quiet surroundings.
However, the Jarun quarter really is quite fare away from town and you will have to get a taxi or use the tram to go there.
Also, there is no supermarket around to grab some food.

Though what they could improve is the breakfast which is really basic as well as to provide the chance to put off this emergency light in the rooms which shining all the night..(I didn't grasp it why they are in use of it).

Room Tip: Ask for a room to the back of the hotel.
