I've traveled quite a bit and could say that our stay in this hotel was absolutely amazing.

The room was nice and well-lit. There were three of us, so we asked for a room with an extra bed. Though a sofa was converted into an extra bed, the room was still very spacious! Two over-sized windows allowed us to enjoy a beautiful garden outside.

The bathroom was also a highlight - very big, clean, and well supplied. It was enormous by European standard. The showers were strong, with a temperature control.

Breakfast was excellent. There was a variety of cheese, meat, cereals, and fruits. Guests could also order from a breakfast menu which featured egg menus and some pancakes.

Also, the hotel's strategic location made a nice park and a supermarket within walking distance. And oh another thing, free wifi! :)

Superb!

I have just returned from a weekend break at the Esplanade and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I found the decor of the whole hotel to be of high standard and the service to be outstanding. All the staff were very helpful and welcoming.

The rooms were all well equiped and very spacious. The bathroom was amazing, with a seperate door to the toilet and a large, powerful walk-in shower which was very handy.

The hotel itself is situated in one of the main squares and very close to all the bars and restaurants of the city, as well as being pretty much opposite the train station. There is a bar outside the hotel which was good value for money as well as being very friendly which made it ideal to sit and enjoy a drink on a hot Summers day.

Overall I would highly recommend a stay at the Regent Esplanade, as well as a visit to Zagreb.

Lovely roooms and great food in bistro. Concierge was a bit grumpy but staff who delivered bags and parked our car were very friendly.

Old world hotel with old world charm. Everything you expect from a 5 star hotel, at a reasonable price. We booked the hotel with another couple at the same time but ended up on different floors. We requested to be together and the staff immediately took care of it. Service was excellent and very accommodating, if a little stuffy at times. Near Zagreb train station in lower town and about 15 minutes walk to central square of Zagreb(trg Josip Jelacica).

This is an extremely elgant and formal hotel. The check-in more like a bank as you stand before a suited person at a mahogony desk. The property is very near the Zagreb train station so very easy to access from there and is right in the green horseshoe as I think they call it. We stayed midweek and were upgraded to a suite on the second floor. We paid $203 U.S. per night. The suite had an awkward layout, sort of an elbow pattern and no flat screens, but the decor was elegant and the bath was superb. There was some sort of EU conference there that day so there were many suited banker and bureaucrat types. Also, the president of hungary or someone else was staying there. This is a top notch property, within walking distance to all things zagreb, however, on the walk home, and this was midweek, mind you, there were street prostitutes hanging out near the front of the hotel. And they were not attractive ones either. This made it rather awkward for my family to walk by. I'd suggest they clean that up but otherwise a fabulous hotel with great service. We left before breakfast which I believe is not included. Also, there was a fire alarm that went off when we there, apparently set off by a kitchen fire. no big deal,

Room Tip: Not sure the suites are worth it, they're awkwardly shaped.
