One particular front desk staff member made my stay enjoyable with understanding. Stayed for two nights and enjoyed it. Breakfast included is great addition but wasn't that great tasting. I would reccomend this hotel. 4/5.

Spent a night here and overall the room was tiny, and the whole place was simply old and dated i.e. old ugly carpet, and tacky deco. They said they had wifi but the signal was extremely weak. They told my friend there was no smoking in the restaurant/bar or the lobby yet the next morning the desk receptionist was smoking in the lobby! It is a great location if you want be close to the train station. In retrospect should have paid slightly more for a much better experience (it was $125 for one night at this place).

After staying in 4 star hotels in Germany and Austria the general ambience was a little more basic. However our family room was two rooms which gave us a tremendous amount of space. the rooms were very clean and children had limiltess free wifi. the staff on reception were very helpful and breakfast although limited gave a good start to the day. brilliant location for the station and using the tram system was easy to get into the heart of the city.

Very good location near the city center and very good breakfast. This hotel is also in front of the tram number 2 or 6 that is just 3 stops away form the main bus station where the bus from and to the airport arrives and departs.

Stayed here only 1 night and probably that was enough. There's no car park and it's a bit of a walk with heavy bags from the underground car park (only 3rd level is for hotel guests). The lift in the car park does not go up to ground level. Therefore you have to use the escalator. However, when I was there, only the up was working, not the down so I had to struggle down the steps with heavy bags. Lack of hotel car parks in Zagreb is a serious problem.

Reception was efficient but the older staff look a bit glum.

The hotel itself is alright but nothing special. It's a bit run down and could do with a makeover. I was dismayed to find the room had no fridge in it. There's a space for one, but nothing in there. My room also had two bizarre poles or roof supports in the middle of it. You had to skirt around them to reach the desk. That said, they could be useful if one wanted to practice ones pole dancing.

The breakfast is OK (nothing really special, no hot food) but the staff seemed bored, particularly the two young girls who seemed more interesting in chatting to each other while leaning on the wall and gossiping rather than standing discretely but attentively, serving the guests and hovering, read to top up guest's coffee (you have to ask). The older waiters do their jobs but they obviously missed that day at waiter school where they are supposed to practising smiling and engaging the guests in lightweight banter.

Overall it's something of a timewarp. I think they must get so much traffic from the railway station, they feel they don't need to try very much.

Room Tip: Get one without the poles in the room.
