Behind Ban Jelacic, this area of Zagreb is fantastic in winter or summer. In winter, the beautiful old houses are draped in snow, and smoke billowing from chimneys. In summer, it's buzzing with people enjoying the weather. Lots of cafebars and restaurants. Love Zagreb so much!

Another cute street in Upper Town, don't miss: cobble-stoned street, shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. Colorful houses, very photogenic street.
You can even live here: we rented an apartment with Sobe Zagreb 17, they are very friendly and have their rooms & apartments in the right place.

Radićeva Street is a great choice for those who want to enter the Upper Town through the Stone Gate (which is, I think, more comfortable way than the steep steps under the Lotrščak Tower). Conveniently, it connects the Stone Gate with the Ban Jelačić Square.
Radićeva is full of shops, coffeehouses, and restaurants. It is also a very nice and busy street with colourful buildings.
I advise you to "visit" it during your walks in Zagreb centre.

Steep hill to reach Stone Gate but a nice stroll once you're there. Perfect walk for after lunch. Few coffee shops to relax in too.

Great for a walk, sightseeing and shopping (there are very nice jewelry stores there!) and when you get tired, you can always relax in one of the caffee bars there!
