This was the most expensive accommodation of our stay in Croatia that included Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik and whilst the other accommodation were apartments now I cannot justify why we paid more. The hotel is well situated close to the main square, the rooms are comfortable and generally adequate and the breakfast was good for being included in the price. We had a selection of cereals, fruit, polonies, not that great, bread, boiled eggs, cheeses etc - pretty good.
The lift stopped at the 5th floor. We were on the 6th with no help available to carry our luggage. My wife and I are both long distance runners in our late 50s and fit so it did not bother us but I am mentioning it in the review. One night we did not have hot water - no explanation was given. The next morning when I wanted to complain the water was hot again so I just let it go. Some of the staff are not very helpful or friendly. I am mentioning it because is was so different to what we experienced of Croatians in general - They are very helpful and friendly. Next time I will choose another hotel when staying in Zagreb.More
