yes it said it was in a park area but not that it was so far from the city on centre - took about 45 minutes by bus and tram
the hotel rooms were fairly small and ours overlooked the road although it was fairly quiet albeit the main road through this residential area
the only staff member we had real contact with was Mario who spoke perfect English and was extremely helpful in advising us on the transport into town - he was also in charge of the breakfast area on our visit - breakfast was the usual continental spread and eggs to order - when we asked for a banana to go with cereal and yoghurt he found us one
for evening dining there was the only the hotel restaurant (which we did not try) and the steak house about five minutes walk which was good value with excellent steaks and french style onion soup.
due to flight changes we only arrived around midnight on our first night of two nights so it wasnt too much of a hassle but if you were staying a few days think one might be quickly tired of the schlapp into the centre which would be very tiresome if you wanted go back in again to look round in the evening
maybe our independent tour arranger chose this for ease of our hire car being delivered as there was a car park but it was quite a trek from the airport albeit we went on a private transfer

Room Tip: maybe quieter overlooking the car park?

The hotel is located almost 5 Km. from center of Zagreb, but it worth it.
The room is wide and has a privet balcony. The stuff were welcoming. Breakfast is good! We had to check out very early, so at 06:30 in the morning, they made a spcial breakfast for us. it is nice!
Parking is free, WI-FI in hotel.

Quiet but comfortable, with friendly staff and a good breakfast. Just stayed one night, but would go back for longer. Our local office says that it's the hotel used by the Dynamo Zagreb players for home matches.

We stayed one night here as a layover between flights. The staff were exceptionally accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly and the rooms were small, but very clean. Breakfast was very good with a wide array of cold choices (breads, yogurts, cereals) plus a full breakfast offered (omelettes, bacon and eggs) included in the room price. The staff let us have a late checkout as our flight was not until later in the afternoon and arranged for a car to take us to the airport for only 100 kuna. The only downfalls to this hotel is the proximity to the city centre if you don't have a vehicle. You can take a bus and then a tram but it is not as convenient as staying closer to town. Also, the swimming pool was closed due to some regulations that the hotel must adhere to, so this faciltiy is not available for the near future.

We stayed at Vila Tina for 6 days and ended up having 3 dinners and 2 lunches at the terrace with sea view. Menu with lot's of options and good vines. High quality, we had the pasta, filet steak, fresh fish on the grill and also tasted the pizza. We will also credit the staff who is very service minded and friendly :-) Highly recommended!
