We stayed at the hotel with 5 people in 3 rooms for 4 nights. The service given to us was considerable different with each receptionist. In general the ones, who didn't speak English and only a little Romanian/Moldovan but only Russian was considerable more friendly then the ones who spoke more languages. She was also the only one, who took our complains about the noise from the sauna serious.

As said we had the experience, that you could hear the noise from the sauna in Room 19. This didn't only include the traditional singing but also other "activities". We got a bottle of Champagne after complaining, but it would be better, if they would just close the sauna at 11pm.

The overall state of the rooms was good. The furniture looked new and well kept. The cleaning in the beginning was good, during the stay they pay more attention. We basically had a different state after each cleaning (ones toilet not cleaned, ones shower not cleaned, ones no toilet paper) but different orders in the 3 rooms.

The breakfast was good. The fresh vegetables are what Moldova is kind of famous for. The minibar is from price comparable to Europe and up to 10x of what you pay at the kiosk across the street. We didn't try sauna and pool as the surcharges are very high for Moldova.

Room Tip: Stay away from the rooms to the front, like 19. You can hear the noise from the sauna through the ai...

Tucked on a quiet leafy side street off one of the city's main semi-suburban boulevards, this hotel is an oasis of calm and refined touches. The room was large with ambient lighting and lots of storage space, the attached bathroom also large and nicely appointed. There is a tiny balcony with a view to the street below, more use for fresh air than anything else. I only had breakfast there one morning but it was a fair spread considering there were only a couple of other guests in the hotel. The pool area is free for guests between 7AM and noon, and it is beautiful, done in a style that takes influence from Japanese and Chinese aesthetics. The pool is not large but great for a relaxing dip and I didn't encounter another guest in that area during my stay of a few days. A jacuzzi, sauna, shower and over-pool lounge are in the same area, with rooms for paid spa treatments off the main pool deck. I found a walk downtown took between an hour to an hour and a half depending on my destination, but it was a pleasant walk up a shaded road when departing from the hotel for the first half hour or so. Numerous retaurants, banks and other basic shopping are within a ten to fifteen minute walk. Would happily stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for England's game against Moldova in September and will be returned in spring 2013.
The service was first class and rooms were amazing. The receptionists, Victoria and then Alexandrina, couldn't do enough for us in spite of their long working hours.
It's a long but manageable walk into the city. A taxi is the better option though as these are convenient and inexpensive.
There are pubs, cafe's and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Try Andy's pizza around the corner - I was amazed how good it was.

This is definitely a hotel and not a B&B / Inn. I hope Tripadvisor amend this classification.

I've stayed or looked at a few hotels in Chisinau & this is probably the best.

The rooms are spacious & well appointed, although a lighting is for effect rather than brightness.

Best breakfast I've had in Chisinau hotel (but that's not saying much).

Location suits me as its near where i need to be, but for most it might not suit. It's a few miles outside centre but a few metres from a main road (unlike some other hotels in Chisinau which are on back streets)

Being a small hotel has some disadvantages, there is no restaurant but 5 mins walk to some.

Staff friendly & speak English.
