The check in experience was nice. The rooms were spacious and wi-fi is for free. The hotel staff helped me with a dental kit, which is very much appreciated. Breakfast is tasty and the dining area is comfortable.

Room Tip: take a lower floor to be able to use the stairs

I was positive surprised with the hotel quality. It was really value for money and nothing to complain about. The hotel is new and stylish and breakfast is good as well. Location is also good and staff is polite.

Definitely not a four star hotel!
The lobby area is elegant ant it gives you the impression of something special but then you enter the room and... eww!
The room was small. The TV was tiny and with static. And it had a free porn channel with no code or nothing so a kid could easily watch it.
The room was dirty, old, used, fatigued. The remote control had chunks of jelly on it, so did the light switchers. Sticky and gross! Good think we had sanitizing wipes and the shower cap to stick the remote in.
The carpet was light colored so you could easily see how dirty it was. And I didn't understand why there was a noisy foil under it around the bed.
The bathroom... dirty and moldy. And what I consider low for a four stars hotel is that they were refilling the shampoo and lotion containers! Really! They just couldn't put new ones? You could see that from the fact that the writing on the labels was fading and the caps were not sealed. Unacceptable!
The breakfast although it had some stuff, by 9 in the morning everything looked old and unappealing. We gave it a try because we were hungry but we left the area still hungry!
It is not the place to stay! Not even for a night!

Stay here every time I travel for business in Bucharest. The corporate rate is unbeatable for the quality you receive. Service at front desk and within the hotel is very good. Rooms are spacious, all with natural light, design and quality of furniture and decorations is what you would expect from a 4 star. The menu at the lobby bistro is wide and sophisticated and so is the wine list, while prices are more than decent considering Bucharest. Breakfast is continental with a rich offer, including fresh fruits and juices. The location is perfect for the downtown, historical center and airport. No wonder they are always full. Booking in advance is strongly recommended.

Room Tip: all rooms are nice and quiet

As a businessman I've travelled to over 15 countries and always stayed in 4 and 5 stars hotels. Capital Plaza is a 4 stars, but closer to a 5 at a much lower cost. The rooms are elegant and spacious. The food is better than what I had in even higher ranked hotels. Luckily it lacks that "cold imposed distance between the employees and the guests. If I had to think of a definition I would call Capital Plaza "my luxurious second home". What makes this hotel a special place, is the young, energetic staff. In particular, if you need something... ask Costin. Best concierge ever met!!! He's a clear example of professionality, dedication, passion for his job and human touch! If I owned an hotel, he'd be the person I would want in contact with the guests. Double thumbs up!
