“A must have experience@Art in Bucharest tours”
Reviewed 14 May 2013

If you live or just passing through Bucharest, the capital of Romania, a must have experience is the guided tour through some of the most cool, original and exciting Romanian artists' studios. You can meet with them, understand their art and craftsmanship, listen to their story, learn from their struggle and successes and make great and unique friends along this half day artistic journey. I was fortunate enough to take part in something that everyone should experience. What did I see, feel, smell, touched, listened on Saturday? The fascinating stories of a wooden sculpture artist (Alexandru Ciutureanu), of the fragile and exquisite porcelain art of Ana Wagner and the contemporary passionate art of author jewelers All info you need, here - http://artinbucharest.com/. Plus, the fee is quite ridiculously small for the quality of the experience. And you have free candy and apples to indulge in! :-)

“Quality time!”
Reviewed 12 May 2013

It's amazing to see a work of art, it's creator and the environment the artists works.
I was particularly impressed by Alexandru Ciutureanu's workshop; I was feeling at every step an almost organic connection between the late artist and his work. The stories told by his son came to emphasize this profound link between the wood and the artist.

Also, I like that there are 3 artists per tour, so I'm pretty sure all participants get to be satisfied.

Good luck Art in Bucharest!

“A lovely side of the city”
Reviewed 12 May 2013

What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon in Bucharest!
It was fun to be in a group of curious people, interested in culture and it was lovely to see places that otherwise I wouldn't've had access to. Meeting David Sandu, the contemporary jewelry designer, was probably the highlight of the week, if not the month, for me! His friendly, informative, inspiring, one-hour talk was to die for.

“Hugely positive energy and rare people!”
Reviewed 11 May 2013

I had the chance to meet wonderful painters and a young violinist who plays brilliantly. Apart from that the atmosphere during the tour was great, we connected with each other
and everything felt authentic and inspiring.
This is more than a guided art tour: it's a threshold of a new way of looking at artists, at their workplace, behind the scenes, of understanding them beyond the tangible art product. And it's an unexpected way of discovering how small the world is when people with similar preferences gather in one place.
If you want to discover the sensitive, beautiful and inspiring Bucharest, come in the guided tours!

“Art in Bucharest 10th tour”
Reviewed 5 May 2013 via mobile

I found out about the concept months ago, but last week I could actually be part of the visiting group. I discovered some great artists in the heart of the city, some great stories and also I learned some new things about painting and art. Moreover, I had the pleasure to meet a young violinist, Mircea Dumitrescu, who trully enchanted our ears and senses with a wonderful concert. Dear Art in Bucharest team, keep up the good work!
