We stayed here for one week during our last part of relocation. Finally we found a hotel in Europe that has the size of the room equal to the ones in North America. As well, 2 queen beds were really queen. So, as i said, rooms are huge, same as bathroom, with both bathtub and separate shower, nice amenities, very comfy beds, big plasma tv in the room, very good breakfast, very polite personnel every where, huge and very nice lobby.
The only things that I did not like were: nothing special on the outside, it looks like all the communist blocks in the area (everything changes once you enter the lobby), no free internet. (we had de luxe room- I guess it is free if you choose club room), a little bit out of the city downtown area, though it is still considered very central.
All in all, we had a very good time and I really reccomend it.

Room Tip: choose club level.

A beautiful hotel, staff extremely courteous and attentive. Everyone spoke perfect English, all staff very willing to help you out with directions, information. Rooms very luxurious, their grand staircases very glamourous. We ate in the steakhouse, it was expensive but food and service were very good. We stayed for three nights as part of a tour, beautiful views of the Palace but the area around the hotel is still in a poor state.

For being a in relatively poor country with terrible infrastructure, the prices here were fiendishly high in almost every respect. At the minibar a bottle of water was $10 and one day of Wifi internet access will add another $25 to the bill. Laundry service can easily cost you $100 if you don't pay attention to the load you're putting together. There was also a pimp walking around the lobby at night looking for customers. He seemed obvious in his endeavors but I saw no attempt to remove him. I suppose for some people that's a "plus" but not for me.

That being said it is a beautiful hotel and the staff was very helpful. The fitness center is acceptable and the location is decent (which is saying something in Bucharest since everything feels difficult for a non-Romanian speaker to reach on their own); it could have been better though since the Palace grounds are so extensive and tough to get around. AT any rate, overall I just did not find it worth the cost.

Room Tip: Obviously a room facing the Palace will give the best view, but it isn't a major concern since i...

My wife and I stayed at this property prior to taking a tour and found it to be extremely comfortable. This may have partially been due to my Platinum status which got us onto the executive floors with complimentary breakfast and drinks. The hotel is huge and has large public areas with fancy shops on the ground floor. Typical comprehensive business hotel options available which is comforting to know if you are staying in what to you may be an "exotic" locale or need a variety of hotel infrastructure services. Front desk is OK and the concierge is helpful and remembers your name after a visit or so and good with reservations. Rooms are quiet and in great shape with comfy beds and fancy bathrooms. Location of the hotel is perhaps the only drawback as it is on the far backside of the Palace of Parliament square which involves a lengthy walk or a taxi to get to the action (e.g., Old Town/Hop On-Hop Off Bus stop). Do a satellite map view to get an idea of scale (and remember the Parliament is the 2nd largest bldg.in the world). But then Old Town is pretty big and some of the other big hotels face their own distance challenges depending on where you are heading. In any case, a hotel shuttle option would be nice. Ate once at the JW Steakhouse and was pleased with the selection and service. I opted for the USDA primo cut vs my wife's Uruguayan pasture-fed larger piece. Both cooked right, just that the American beef was much more tender/less chewy. Portions are "American sized" (according to the waiter) so either be starving or order less. Wine/drinks list pretty good. Prices are at typical hotel restaurant levels. Helpful Hint: The cash machines issue large denomination bills and the front desk can't/won't break them, so go around the corner on the shops' floor to the Bank of Cyprus location and they will change them for smaller bills. Very helpful Re taxi fares and smaller purchases. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms may be less noisy.

Not a good location for tourism. Leave the hotel and walk to the left around the massive parliament building to get to the central area. Going to the right is a 35 minute walk. Rooms & public areas are clean and lovely; a wonderful breakfast buffet.

This is a palatial hotel located very near Palatul Parlamentului. The rooms are spacious, spotless and in excellent condition. The staff is very helpful and the security is excellent.
There is not much to do near the hotel itself, but cabs are very reasonably priced. However, if you are willing to walk a bit, the National Museum of Contemporary Art and the Palace of the Parliament are nearby. I would walk around to the Palave of the Parliament pretty much every evening, in spite of the cold! Please do exercise caution while walking around the hotel, as the boulevards in the vicinity are very spacious and there are usually not that many people around.

Room Tip: 1. If you can, choose a high floor. Hotel is very popular and gets busy / crowded on the lower floo...
