“Depressing”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

The whole story behind the erection of this building is extremely depressing. If it was built under different circumstances it may have held some attachment but it appeared to me to be a total waste of time, money and effort to satisfy an over inflated ego. The hardship of the people to enable this place to be built is far too much for me. Worth a visit however to gain an appreciation.

“Very beautiful, but very sad”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

I think if you knew the history this place should be bulldozed. It is very nice and huge inside but the place is built on blood and its being exploited for tourism. It is quite sad inside because it's been kept up, but completely empty, huge communist ghost.

“The greatest building in Europe!”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

May be great, but not for the people who had their homes demolished to make way for it.
But great that all the materials were Romanian, the people and craftsmen were all Romanian. Some wonderful work. But still VERY sad for the people who suffered.

“A world record”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

The Palace of the Parliament is in the Guiness Book like the world's largest civilian building with an administrative function, most expensive administrative building and heaviest building. If you ever go to Bucharest, you must see this building. This is an architectural masterpiece.

“Amazing building from the terrifying time.”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

Building tour returns back time to the days of communism. Amazing to see how the same period that his people stand in long queues for bread, builds Tz'aotzsko such a magnificent building which reduces the palaces of kings he was so hated.
