“Interesting...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

Interesting historical site, this isn't an actual village, its a remake of one, some of it was transported from actual ARCHIOLOGICAL studies elsewhere in Romania, but most built like it would have been 300 plus years ago. They really get into the details on how people used to live. It's worth the trip.

Gave a real feeling of how housing in Romania changed in history.Shows how good the people were in adapting to the various climatic differences in the country

“Brilliant!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

Actual houses collected from all across Romania and brought together in a single village for your entertainment and delight. Absolutely brilliant; I was totally transfixed by the beauty and variety of both homes and pre-electric ingenuity and design of functional structures from windmills to hydro-powered washing machines. Totally worth visiting. From the centre, get the 783 express bus (the airport bus) to the Arcul de Triumf from where it's just a short walk.

“a must see for anyone visiting Bucharest”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

We’ve been there many, many times. It's a unique place, more than a museum; it's a piece of a history, with hundreds of houses from all the regions of Romania, beautifully preserved.
You can visit many of these houses and you can see all the aspects of the life in the 19th century in the country side. It’s really a must to visit Village Museum if you are in Bucharest, you can also buy many handcrafted souvenirs from the gift shop.
