This area is full of bars, clubs and restaurants. The clubs are very beautiful , fancy and so cheap. I spent almost one week in Bucharest and I could not stay away form this place even one day.

On weekends it's literally crawling with a colourful mix of youngsters and adults, romanian and tourists.
This is definitely the place to be if you're visiting Bucharest and want to get a taste of it's impressive nightlife.

I think some of the general disrepair of the place adds to its charm. It is a great in between of contrasts; what was, what is and what it will become.

Visited a couple of bars in this district which were very good.
The Blues cafe in the covered street, where we enjoyed a bottle of red wine for 50 lei. Downside for us is that people still smoke in the bars and we do not like this at all. Still very warm and comfortable especially as it was snowing and sub zero temperatures outside.
Also visited the Egyptian cafe in the same covered street where a bottle of cabernet was only 28 lei (approx £5) and they only sell in bottles not glasses. Again very smoky atmosphere, which is a real downer for us.
