Situated near the Opera, and the University zone, this park is amazing because it is located on a very small portion, but when you enter it it seems endless. Everything is well thought, it has a stage for outside concerts, a small natural pool where you can see white and black swans, it has places for play or workout.
It has a small waterfall projected by an architect and you have the possibility to climb on top of it.
It's a well used space.

Situated in the heart of Bucharest, within walking distance from the Opera, the Cismigiu, the Radisson Blu, the Athene Palace and the Intercontinental hotels, the Cismigiu has somehow retained the flavor of times long passed.
There is a playground for the kids and a gazebo in the center of the park, there is a chess players’ corner, a soccer fans’ debate area, there’s a rotonda (a small circular plaza) surrounded by pedestals with busts of twelve famous writers, lots of grandparents looking after their grandchildren, a small lake you can row a boat on and … you almost expect to hear a brass band play some old-fashion songs and see young cadets in freshly ironed uniforms inviting their dates for a waltz …
The nice and well preserved Kretzulescu church is just outside the park and so are the History Museum and the Concert Hall.

The park is very beautiful, reminding of the Old Days when Bucharest was called the Little Paris (or at least that's what they told me here :) ). Unfortunately, by the time I visited the park, the lake was drained, but I can only imagine how beautiful this place is during the summer. It is a very relaxing place for a walk, must see in Bucharest. And there is to tax for visiting the place.

Nice park in the middle of the city. Fountain was drained, I'm sure it is lovely, very large and a better way to walk than the street.

if you are visiting in the summer this is a nice stroll, the bridges arenice with the wooden sides on them and the lakes are nice with the wildlife around,
however in autumn and beyond they drain all the ponds, water features and lakes so it takes away half the point of going.

your left with the bridges and the wild dogs.
