“Good location but a bit noisy”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

The hotel is relatively close (on the Bucharest scale) to the city center, so location is good. We traveled there for a business stay, and we wanted to book some meeting rooms. The hotel is pretty small with very limited meeting room capacity, but they were kind enough to rearrange some regular rooms so that they could be used as meeting rooms - I guess this is a regular practice at the hotel to manage space limitations. After all, these 'meeting rooms' were pretty convenient. (Furniture removed from the rooms was piled up in the staircase, so when the elevator broke down - and it did - it was pretty adventurous to make our way downstairs). Food was average, neither good, nor bad, sufficient for a business lunch. Having a rest was kind of difficult though - every night there was a regular, very loud beep coming from the corridor (the elevator maybe), so I could hardly have some sleep during the first two nights. Other than that the stay was comfortable.

I have stayed many times in this beautiful small hotel and I always enjoy my stay. The staff is very helpful and welcoming, the rooms are clean and the service wonderful. Even though there are rooms not so spacious, they offer all necessary amenities to make one's stay comfortable. Breakfast is good to cover many differen tastes. It is a matter of 10 minutes walk in the Calea Victoriei to reach museums, the Atheneum and the old city. I strongly recommend it because each time I visit it I find it better and better.

Room Tip: Last time I stayed in room 302. It is spacious with nice view.

This hotel is decent enough for short business trips, but I would not recommend it to couples or families who go to Bucharest for vacation. Why? Because, in my opinion, it completely lacks in terms of atmosphere. My room was clean and the furniture was fine, if somewhat worn out, but there was no attention to detail, no decoration ... the room felt bland. The same goes for the bar/breakfast area. If you don't care for such things, you'll probably be satisfied with this hotel though. The personnel was friendly and the AC worked fine in my room.

At Euro 85 per double room, per night including an excellent breakfast we thought this hotel was good value. It is centrally located, being under 10 minutes walk from the Royal Palace and Revolution Square. The old town takes about 20 minutes. They offer a car service for Euro 25 to pick you up from the airport which is under 1/2 hour away. This is a modern hotel with all the facilities you would expect. The rooms are very smart and well equipped, the beds are very comfortable indeed. The staff are very helpful indeed with lots of advice on what to see and where to eat etc.

Room Tip: Try for a corner room for that extra bit of space

I have stayed at this hotel many, many times in the last 2 years.

The staff is friendly but the hotel suffers from a basic major flaw: the air conditioning.

This is because the hotel is a complete glass-covered building and during the day all the rooms heat up to impossible to sleep temperatures. The air conditioning is centralized and does not have enough "juice" to cool the rooms.
You can also not let the air conditioning on during the day because they have a smart switch that does not work with any card - it has to be the hotel key card.

To make the temperatures bearable you will end up by opening the window and then the noise from a very busy street (with frequent noisy motor bikes during the night) does not make your sleep easy.

If you are in winter then you are OK.

Dear Guest,
It is big pleasure to find out you stayed in our hotel many times in the last 2 years and that you appreciate our staff, our location and our services. And it is even bigger pleasure for me to let you know that we just finished last week a major technical intervention to our entire hotel air cooling system as we were aware that the system was sometimes unable to cool all the rooms. The process lasted almost 1 month but we are now confident that as of now admiring the city-view from our large-window rooms will be as charming as you would expect during all seasons of the year.
We look forward to welcome you back soon to our hotel,
Sincerely yours,
Larisa Budaca, General Manager

This hotel offers a great location if you're in town for business or pleasure. It's only a short walk to the city's main business district, and a 10-15 minute walk to its main tourist sites. The hotel has a nice outdoor terrace for a quick bite or a drink on sunny days, and a popular cafe/ restaurant in the lobby. The rooms are clean, nicely appointed and come with every standard feature you'd expect from a four star hotel. While the bathrooms are on the verge of needing an upgrade, the sheets, pillowcases and mattresses are above par which translates into a solid sleep. The hotel management understands their clients, and has made WiFi free and fast throughout the hotel. LAN cables are also in each room for anyone who needs to be wired. Special note about the desk staff. They aim to please, and if you have any issues, this hotel has some of the friendliest, customer service oriented hospitality professionals I've come across in a while. They make this hotel a good choice, and would give anyone 100 reasons to return when they're in Bucharest.

Room Tip: Great staff at the front desk. Professional. Helpful.

I visit 6-7 times a year in Bucharest and I stayed several 5-4 star hotels . It is convenient for a business person or tourist to go around Calea Victorei, Romana,Victorei sq. 5-6 min to Hilton or Radisson blue and price is 1/3. (far from Uniri sq area)
Breakfast is rather poor but if you had heavy dinner in Romanian or French , Italian restaurant,
(there are many around walking distance) it is enough variety.

Room Tip: Renovated Bathroom .Better to ask Street view room. behind room has a tragedy view from next under...
