This small, charming hotel is in walking distance of most tourist sites. The reception people were extremely helpful and courteous. Room was small but clean. They need better AC instructions for guests as the unit kept shutting down during the night making the room very stuffy. My room was not ready when I arrived midmorning, luggage was stored, of course, but manager answered all my sightseeing questions and gave suggestions where to purchase icons. Later in the evening he approached me to see how the day went and if I found the various stores he suggested. The old town area of Bucharest is OK to wander around in.....has many cafés to have a drink and meals....not much else in Old Town.
I would suggest that Bucharest be on the tourist list of places to visit. It is going to have it's glory days soon as a lot of road/sidewalk construction was taking place. Talk to the locals (all very friendly) and see what life was like living under the Communist control.
