“Good value”
Reviewed 2 November 2012 via mobile

Zira hotel is located nearby the city center and is well maintained. The staff is polite and helpful. Free worldwhite calls to fix lines and compementary dinner, which is more than satisfactory and breakfast makes Zira an ideal place for short trips. Rooms are not large but decent size. Well-recommended.

Stayed a couple of nights arriving late. Staff very helpful, breakfast was better than many Serbian hotels, nice cooked food. The coffee is poor, but it seems than many hotels have gone to having automatic machines which will only do a filter coffee. Room was clean and pleasant. No free water so either tap or very expensive mini bar.

standard modern business hotel, willing to be more than it is. Rooms are quite small but not oppressive, I didn't like the use of low consumption lights that take 2 minutes to arrive to full power in the bathroom. At least half of the rooms are facing a heavily trafficked street so even with modern windows you can hear trucks and buses running behind. Also, the same rooms have a strong heat due to full direct sunlight since early morning and air conditioner was not working propoerly (couldn,t change the temperature, always fixed at 25°). Breakfast was quite poor and they ask you to pay for espresso.

Room Tip: ask for rooms on the back of the hotel

We stayed at Zira for one night in October of 2012.

Pros - The service was great. They have a shuttle to the airport which is cheaper then getting a taxi. I think it was around 16 Euros for 2 people.

The breakfast was really good. The hotel was very clean. There was a shopping mall next to the hotel.

Cons - I did not care much about the location. And I thought our room was a bit dark.

I stayed at Zira for 2 nights in September while attending a concert in Belgrade. The hotel was modern and clean with a huge room. The staff of the hotel all spoke English and when I asked at reception for a taxi, the clerk called a taxi for me and made sure to request a driver who spoke English. Although Zira is not in the center of the city, it is easy to get where you want to go in the city. If you need to be in Belgrade, Zira is the hotel to choose.

We stayed at this hotel for one night, our last night in Belgrade.

It was easy to find, and the staff truly made us feel welcome.
The dinner was great and our room was huge! We stayed in a Deluxe room.

Because we had to leave early in the morning, just before the breakfast, the hotel offered to prepare us some breakfast bags for our departure, at no extra cost.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and the staff really deserve to hear how great they were.

We stayed at Zira for two nights in September as part of a sightseeing trip to Belgrade for the first time. The Hotel is around 20 mins walk from Slavia Square the termini for our airport bus, or quicker by trolley bus. We received a warm welcome although due to our early am arrival a room was not available. When we checked in later we were given the card to a lovely room on the fifth floor ar the rear hotel - not great views, but quiet. The room was pristine & well equipped, modern with all required comforts. The walk in shower was particularly good.

Surprisingly this hotel offers free international calls from the room which we used.

Our tariff included an evening buffet meal (drinks extra) in the restaurant. We were not expecting a great deal but the quality/service was a very pleasant surprise - the food quality was excellent. Why more hotels do not do this type of add on needs evaluation.

The second evening at the buffet was much busier & it was clear that some guest (Conference) were getting a preferred service which was a pity as we would have liked to order wine with our meal.

The hotel is a little off the beaten track in so far as Downtown Belgrade is concerned but a trolley bus or bus service runs from outside the hotel or from the nearby intersection & is about 10 mins from Republic Square or the train station.

Overall we were very pleased with our stay & would definaitely recommend this hotel to friends, etc as we would the very hospitable city of Belgrade.

Room Tip: Back bedrooms are quiet
